Chicken vs. Lamb

Buddy has been eating a chicken based dog food his whole life, but our pet store accidentally ordered the lamb based food of the same brand. Would it be ok to switch Buddy to the lamb food for the next few months? The store said it is the same recipe, just different meat.

He is running low on food, and it will take at least a week to get the chicken recipe delivered.

yes, mix the new with the old for the transition week.

Do you have enough to mix it for a few days? I do this with my TOTW but mix it for the 1st few days and have not had a problem. I now switch back and forth for variety but again mix it each time for at least a few days.
