She may have done a combination of jumping and climbing. I have had dogs who could climb when stimulated by something interesting so would get out but not get back in because the excitement was past.
I would have thought a fence at that height would have stopped her too. I am betting she tried out some risky behavior because she wasn't being watched. Things that are out of reach that dogs are curious about, especially low to the ground corgis, seem much more interesting, to my dog at least, when no one is watching. I have found things removed from a counter height table, a bit over three feet high, that defies physics. I could leave a whole cake on it all day it if I were home, but if I went out I am certain it would be gone. I wish I have a way to catch the mischief on video. Amazing.
