based on everyones exp, what age do corgis start their full ear to ear smiling? where their tounge is hanging out and all. mine is 13 weeks, hes done it here and there, but not consistently. he does it when hes in the car, and sometimes when hes really excited during playtime, i can catch him doing it maybe a couple times a week at different times. .

i know its a silly thing to post about but corgis are so cute when they do that alot.

Franklin had his corgi smile at around 6 or 7 weeks. This picture was sent to me by his breeder before I was able to take him home:

Franklin is adorable now...but as a puppy.....He would've ended up hidden in my jacket and back home with me!  Heeheeee!

This picture had to win you over

Oh my gosh, he was positively adorable as a puppy!  Not that he's not a handsome little gentleman now, but oh my gosh was a cute puppy he was!

If you want the tongue hanging out, exercise them.  That's how they cool -- they can't sweat.  As they heat up, the tongue gets engorged with blood, swelling 2-3x normal size.  While hiking or playing soccer, Al literally cannot fit that thing back into his mouth.

Yep, get them panting and the smile will come. Otherwise it's not really something either of mine do just sitting around.

The smile is nothing more than them panting.  It's not something that you want him doing all of the time, but I can understand wanting to get some good pictures!  If you want to get those pictures, then just be sure to get him playing or take him for a good walk.  Once he's panting you can pull out your camera!  :)
