Corgi Tongues?

I know this is a little weird but...... I noticed that when Herky yawns his tongue comes waaay out. I mean practically rolling out like a rug, lol. Mia's tongue is regular sized (?) and does not extend past her nose very much.

Are there other Corgis out there that have "unique" (and very cute) looks?

I love it when they are very relaxed and the tongue sticks out. Sparty does it quite often and it looks really silly!

Our Kiara has that same kind of red carpet tongue your Herky. I always warn people that if they can reach her then her tongue will get ya.

Noodles has the worlds longest tongue. I'm sure it can wrap around his head a couple times. I love it and love getting kisses from it!

Loki has the same mile long tongue. It’s adorable! It reminds me of the song “How much is that Doggie in the window?” That song makes me think of Corgis more than any other breed.

My first Corgi had a fairly normal tongue but his sister had a big one. Then we got Gromit and his tongue was huge. We laughed because as a pup he looked like one of those crazy cartoon characters whose tongue would unroll all the way to the ground. Now that Gromit's grown his tongue fits him better but it's still prone to falling out when he smiles.

Depends on how warm they are. Remember, the mouth/tongue is their principal cooling organ, so it swells way up with that extra blood circulation when they're hot. Al can't even fit it into his mouth when he's hot.

I don't know if I would call Sid's tongue strangely long, but it is longer than any of our other dog's tongues. IT's so cute when he yawns, the tip of his tongue curls upwards. I love it!

My 4 month old corgi pup Ein has a really long tongue too. I swear she rolls that thing out like a red carpet every time she yawns. I just stare at her in disbelief sometimes. Herky's not alone.
