What do you do about crate possession issues? I know it hasn't even been 24 hours yet, for the most part things are going great with Becca and Mokey.  Cat and puppy are at the wary observations stage. Becca even rolled and showed belly to the cat this morning. The cat has not been aggressive other than some staring. She has been "playing vulture" from the top of the cupboards and fridge. However if Becca is in her crate she will bark and lunge at Mokey. It causes Mokey to run and I don't want to set a precident. The last time it happened I told Becca, "No, bad dog." She recognized the phrase. For now I am covering the door of the crate when Becca is in it. I would rather train than always have to keep her covered.

Becca should feel very safe in her crate. Keep the cover on for now. Eventually they will not be so curious about each other and you won't need to cover it.
