Sawyer just threw up and she has had diarrhea for a while, I just switched her to Merricks Puppy Plate recently. She also gets a tease spoon of pumpkin (to help with the diarrhea 3 times a day with meals)
Diarrhea & Vomiting
This is the 3rd food Sawyer has been on. She was originally eating Royal Canin, which I was told by multiple corgi owners this was bad for her (especially because she was on the Mini Puppy food) then I switched her over to Precise Puppy Plus which she didn’t do well with. I know that I’ve been switching all foods over properly, at least from what I’ve read. We did a week of mixing with the precise, I also don’t even have anymore of it. So do I keep her on Merrick, or try and find something else. I also started (yesterday) giving her a pill to keep her from eating her poo. I’m not sure how that would effect vomiting or diarrhea.

where did you get the pill? If you bought it at a pet store it may be the cause of vomiting and diarrhea, especially if it started after you gave the pill. If Royal Canin worked for her, I would stick with it, just don't give a mini formula. Everyone has their opinions on food and everyone's opinion differs. Go with what works for you, don't follow public hype. Any of the major name brand foods are made to be complete and balanced diets and your corgi can thrive on any of them.

Also, if I did switch back to Royal Canin, what formula would be good? All their foods are so specific to either breed or size.

I had a similar thing happen with Milo when I first got him at 7 months. Tried a couple different brands including Blue Buffalo Wilderness. After about 2-3 weeks of trying to figure it out I put him on rice and cottage cheese to get the diarrhea under control. When that finally came around after a few days it was recommended I try a low-protein, sensitive stomach brand - Wellness Simple (Salmon) is what I went to and Milo had loved it and problems solved. I don't know if it was the low protein or limited ingredient diet, but it worked. I added some green beans after a while and he's done really well on this diet. His fur is incredibly soft and just gorgeous. Melissa is right, you'll have as many opinions on food as there are corgi owners. I've had a couple corgis over 15yrs and been through all foods & diets. The lower protein seems to have been the trick for Milo's stomach. Hope you get it figured out - I know how hard it is to see our furry friends not happy.

I had this problem with Foxey when I first got her and every dog food we tried made her sick. She was on and off
Of medication for almost three months. Finally we found call of the wild salmon flavored. It's grain and gluten free and we haven't had any problems with excess weight gain or anymore
Tummy problems. Adding a tablespoon of yogurt to their kibble can also help calm the stomach. We did that the first two weeks we gave fox her new food and she's been fine ever since!
