Hey everyone. We found a flesh bump on Hazel and are not sure if we should take him into the vet and get him checked out right away or wait a few weeks to see if there any changes. Our little guy is 5 months old. Other than eating cat poop he finds in the yard, he is his normal self. Appetite, energy, and potty is all normal. We saw the bump yesterday when he was dozing off laying on his back.

I've included some photos of the bump. Does your Corgi have these too? Did you leave it be and just kept a close eye on it?

Becca has whiskers under her chin in about the same place. It feels like a bump where the whiskers come out.

Could be a plugged hair follicle...Max has one.  Vet says not a problem.  How long before you have to take him for a check up?  Or if it would make you feel better call your vet and explain what it looks like and maybe they can calm your worries without you having to take him in.

Both Cassie & Ruby have several stiff whiskers growing at that spot. It's probably a hair follicle. I'd try leaving it alone for a few days and see if it stays the same or diminishes. It's not going to kill him between now and the end of the week.

lol I hope it won't kill him! But after looking through some puppies taken from when he was a puppy, that bump has always been there. I think it's more prominent now that he's tripled in size. We have been keeping an eye on it. :)

Thanks for the replies. I agree it's likely plugged hair follicles. Just threw us off cause it didn't have whiskers on it but from reviewing photos taken when he was a wee pup, the bump has been there since weeks. We will keep an eye on it however.
