Frosty Paws

I was just seeing how many of you all buy Frosty Paws for your Corgis.
For those who aren't familiar, they are frozen ice cream for dogs that are found in the frozen section of grocery stores. Their link is: http://www.frostypawstreats.com/frostypaws/default.aspx

LIly gets one every night and usually lets out a loud belch when she gets done eating them. Does your corgi belch?

It's cheaper and healthier to buy plain yogurt and freeze it into little cups or in a Kong. That's what I do.

We make our own too - less processed ingredients! Buy a 32oz thing of nonfat frozen plain yogurt, 1-2 mushed up bananas, a 1tblsp of honey and about 1/4-1/3 cup of creamy peanut butter, and mix all together until smooth. freeze in small foil cups..!

There are additional recipes online too.

Oh, and Bailey does burp once in awhile. its the cutest thing. =)

Thanks for the recipe. We will look into the recipe. Yes, 4 F.P's cost about $3.67. One day a few months ago, the electricty went out all over the area and there were not F.P's in any of the local grocery stores. We had to drive 35 miles to a Kroger's to find them and bought all 10 boxes.

I bought them once, but Harry likes homemade better...I actually make all his treats and all of his little furry friends treats as well since we run a dog bakery :) Plus they are much healthier!

I occassionally give my two frosty paws. THey are actually kind of expensive. I think I will try the recipie with yogurt, p'nut butter etc. my two love p'nut butter!

I make Frosty Paws for my dogs in the summer. They are so expensive. You get twice as much from the homemade ones at the same cost of regular Frosty Paws.

I just made our frosty paws with some yogurt and PB, LO licked it but Rex gulped it down.

Thanks for the recipe. I used to make peanutbutter dog cookies for Tedi. Tried the cheese ones but he loved his peanuts any way he could get them. Once we get a new baby will have to see what they like then I'll make their goodies also.
