Jane, because Corgis have been docked for so long, there is variety in tails and some do have a curly spitz-tails, while many others will curl the tail somewhat over the back when excited.

If you look up Swedish Valhunds you will also see the curly tails. If I ever were to switch breeds I would getone. They are beautiful but very spendy:) I have talked with a breeder who started with Corgis and then went this breed...she loves them:)

Yes, I love Valhunds and they would also be my next choice if I ever switched. But they are very hard to find! I also think they tend to be more "spitzy" in their personality, which (at least in theory) would make them a bit more clownish and a bit less biddable.

I like the natural tails and they look like they carry a little more leg too.

There used to be 2 breeders here in MN that appeared good. Now just one but does do all the testing...so that's a good thing. I am not sure of this breeders price...maybe I'll check...just out of curiosity:)
