Guys, how do you resist those eyes when you eat?

He normally looks like this by the way:

It is hard.... Fortunately one of the first things the trainer we worked with recommended was to always have our dog 5+ feet away when we were eating dinner (or a sit-down meal).  I'm quite sure I wouldn't have known or thought to do that but I'm definitely glad we did it... neither of us wanted a dog who begged at the dinner table.   So now he just curls up and goes to sleep while we eating, at least when it comes to a sit-down meal.

Snacks, now...that's another story.   Let's just say he's well practiced at the corgi mind bore...

* I will not look * I will not look * I will not look *

Snickers does this when she wants attention. Just sits pretty next to me. The little noises come later if I don't notice!

We shoo the dogs away if they are begging, it is so annoying. I give them healthy snacks randomly through the day, they aren't starving. yes i am. No, they are definintely not starving. im starving, see the hunger in my eyes.

That has to be one of the cutest "Good Morning" pictures I've seen.  (Checking mycorgi is the 1st thing I do when I get to work, especially after a weekend when I'm not on it much). I think I do it just to start off Monday with some corginess.

Love it!

(this is our Hermione's new trick too! we were so proud of her "sitting pretty" that she got many treats, and now she tries it all the time...)

Yep, that was my downfall too. I thought it was so adorable when he was a pup but now he does it for everything lol. At least he does it quietly? haha

it's like ah jai always giving me his paw when he wants attention or treats or toys or when he's done something bad and wants forgiveness...

This reminds me of a time when a small child said to me "why you get a bunny"

So cute... Must not give in to the cuteness.. Resistance is futile

Those are some very irresistable eyes.

When confronted with Austin's own pleading look of "aren't I too cute and deserve some of yours", I always question how he can resist looking at my irresistable eyes in the ten seconds or so that it takes him to inhale his dinner.  He seems to have no problem not sharing nor caring how I feel.

You did a good job photoshopping out the droolsicles hanging from each side!  :-)

I don't resist the eyes.  I can't.  My dogs always get a little taste of whatever I'm eating.  But they have to be sitting or laying down first.  We adjust their ration of dog food accordingly so they stay trim.  It's harder with Seanna because she is limited to only 5% of her daily intake from people food, but she's adjusted.

I didn't want a dog begging for food at the table for one. Lance has a very sensitive stomach so I didn't want to upset his stomach.  When Lance was a pup if we were eating snacks in the tv area, I always told him no, gentle push away  and told him to lay down, so he learned he could snuggle with me while I ate but wasn't allowed to beg, and it worked.  :)

The pics are awewome, my favorite is the last one!!!!

i would push him away too and he would quietly sit and wait, but he wouldn't stop looking at me with those pitiful eyes -_-...
