We have been having some horrible hot weather here in Boston lately and I've heard of stuffing your dogs Kong and freezing it.  I'm not really sure what the best concotion would be - winners would melt slowly and make the least amount of mess.

So - what are the most irresistable recipes you've got?

Ours like Frozen peanut butter and many other recipes here.
I'm mostly a "put whatever's in the fridge/about to go bad in the Kong" kind of gal myself, and Casey will eat whatever I put in there, but I usually put in applesauce, mashed banana, yoghurt, cottage cheese, peanut butter, or some combination of the above. What I typically do, is break in half a milk-bone biscuit, and ram half of it into the bottom of the Kong. Then I fill it 1/2 way up with whatever I'm adding (fairly runny works best for filling it) then I put the second piece of milk-bone in and top it off with some more applesauce/yoghurt/banana and freeze (I wrap the bottom of the Kong in plastic wrap first, because it tends to drip out the bottom and freeze to my freezer, which is unpleasant). Sometimes I’ll put something else in there instead of the milk-bone, again, depending on what’s in the fridge.
I usually suggest wonderful cold things like frozen carrots, celery or pieces of apple.
Awesome! That definitely gives me somewhere to start... I don't think I would have ever contemplated putting frozen cottage cheese into a kong... :)
I have three:

1) fill ice cube tray with natural apple sauce (or homemade) depending on season freeze
2) fill with ice cube tray with pumpkin filling and freeze
3) mash a couple bananas (works best if you freeze and then defrost them) and then mixed in peanut butter into the mashed banana and freeze

Then to make it for difficult and make it last longer I don't fill each cube to full. I will leave room to add a bit of water to top, twist tray so water goes on the sides. Make cubes stronger to stuff them into Kong and keeps you hands from getting yucky and takes them longer.

You can stock up and just stuff them in quick as you head out the door. Never mind to add they are a nice cold tasty treat. I have a big freezer bag full and both of mine just love them. Im sure you could come up with many diffrent combinations to.
We do smashed up treats mixed with peanut butter, it seems to be less messy than straight peanut butter and gives them something to chew on.
All I do is put peanut butter in the Kong and freeze it. It cools him down and keeps him busy. By the way, I've been hearing about that horrible Boston weather. My sister lives in Cambridge and there's been a few days where its as hot there as it is down here in central Texas! Her puny window air conditioning unit doesn't cut it :P
