Moderated blog comments

Does anyone know if there is a way to see if a comment is going to be moderated before you actually post anything? I'm not gonna lie, it irritates the crap out of me to spend time writing up a response that never gets posted. Today I actually wrote something twice because I thought my internet ate it the first time, but the second time I saw the pop-up saying it needed approval. It just seems like a big waste of time. -.- If the OP really hates a response that much they could just delete their blog post couldn't they?

As far as I know, there's no way to see if it's moderated. I agree, though, that it would be nice to know beforehand. :/

I had the same experience ONCE and decided life was too short for that, so I only respond to questions on the Forum..... to each his own ;-D

A warning would be nice, yes.

Personally, I don't mind posting on moderated blogs. However, I'd like to know before hand. It will let me know if I should bother saying anything that might be contrary to what the blogger says.

I don't think there is a way of knowing ahead of time. It would be considerate for the blogger to mention it at the end of their blog, if they have set comments for moderation!

Hi Jane, the blog author reserve the right to moderate their blog comments or make it private. Some view it as a personal online diary, others welcome comments and suggestions.

Is there no way to make that little pop up come up when you start typing or even a little warning saying it's moderated before you post? I know I've seen that on other blogs. I'd like to reserve my right to know if I'm being moderated. lol

Guess I'll just stick to the forums like Anna said...

On the other hand, if we are responding in an effort to help the blogger, we are still doing that. It's just not in a public forum. Mission is still accomplished.
