A teacher friend of mine at school has to put his St. Bernard down tomorrow due to cancer.  He and his wife are heartbroken, they are unable to have children and love their dogs dearly. I thought we could all put up some prayers for them.

Awww, Im so sorry. Thinking of them and praying for your friends during this diffucult time in their life.
My sympathies to your friend. Making the decision to put down a beloved pet is heart wrenching and the emotional healing will take time.
Thinking of them during this time. Just keep reflecting on all the wonderful memories they had with him/her.
A good friend of mine just put her Newfoundland ( 11 years) down today too. My friend is a vet. I think we should all remember to hug our furry buddies today in memory of the ones that are gone!

I'm so sorry...Sympathies to your friends. They are giving the greatest gift to their pet by not being selfish. Prayers sent to them and their St. Bernard.

I know exactly how they feel. I too am unable to have children and love my dog dearly. My heart aches for them but they are doing what is best for their loved one, even though it is so hard on us. I will keep them in my prayers and thoughts. Tedi will be there to great their beloved St. Bernard of that I am sure.
I am thinking of them today and my thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time. At least their dog will no longer be in pain and suffering. I will be hugging my fur babies today for sure in memory of those pets that have gone before us.
I will put some thoughts and prayers in for your friend and his wife. I also had to put down my little guy due to cancer this year, and it was very difficult. Please let them know that they are doing the right thing and not prolonging his suffering. Their special kiddo will be in mighty company and will be at peace. Please convey our sympathies!
Already praying for them! How heartwrenching a situation. When the time is right, make sure they get a copy of the Raingbow Bridge.
So very hard to do, having to say goodbye to a dear friend! We have a St. Bernard (our 3rd one) and a Corgi (best friends!). We had to put or second Saint down 2 years ago (at 8 years old), and it broke my heart. He was such a sweet goof, and I still miss him. Our first Saint had to be put down at 11 years old due to cancer, also. They are gentle giants. My thoughts and prayers are with them!
