Do you use Sentinel on your corgis? If so, what dosage do you use? My corgi weighs 34 pounds. I just switched him from the green box, 10-25 pound dosage, to the yellow box 26-50 pound dosage. I wonder if that's too much for him.

Ask your vet about Advantage Multi. This is a once a month topical drops. It takes care of fleas, ticks, mites, intestinal parasites (hookworm, round worm, whip worm) and heart-worms. It also seems to repel mosquitoes and flies. My cardi has been on this for over a year with good results and no side effects. Just a heads up. Like most topicals, it is weight dependent.
A topical that takes care of heartworms? Is that a new product? I've only heard of pills doing that.
Advantage Multi has been on the market for about 7 or 8 years at least. It is made by Bayer. Originally I had to import it from Australia under the name Advantage Advocate. Finally the FDA approved it for use here under the Advantage Multi brand. It is a broad spectrum topical that does all I say it does. Betty continues to test negative for all the bad guys. We used it on our Bassets too. It was great for ear mites. Like all topicals, care must be taken to ensure the drops are placed directly on the skin of the animal. Failure to get it on properly can nullify the effects. For all it does, it is reasonably priced. I buy a years supply at a time for about 225.00
I use Sentinel for my two corgis. My boy weighs about 27 pounds and takes the yellow dosage without any issues. So yours should be fine.
