Shayleigh has been very good at playing with her toys, but never destroying them. So the other day I bought her a new toy (which she doesn't need because she never chews up the old ones), and, sure enough, she manages to de-gut it in just a few days. Needless to say she had fallen in love with the toy and cried when I took its mangled corpse away. I put it up for a few days, waiting to see if there was any way I could fix it before the whining for it got to be too much for me. So this morning I got out my sewing kit and successfully completed my first toy "surgery" while Shayleigh looked on anxiously, thinking I was terribly mean for not letting her just have her toy. Anybody else ever have to perform "surgery" on a toy their dog literally loved to death?
