I have a sinus infection, and it's pretty bad.  It knocked me right out.  I dropped one of my nasty used tissues on the floor and Waffle took it and shred it up.  What are the chances he can get sick from my used tissue?  I don't want him to have a sinus infection, too. :[  Besides sneezing/coughing/lethargy, what should I be on the look-out for in him?

Also, if you're curious, my leg is fine and I have the pit's vax records in my hands.  All UTD.  Waffle and I are doing behavioral rehab at the park--just sitting and getting used to nothing happening there.  I've contacted people in my area with dogs we're going to meet at the park and go for a short walk.  I'm hoping to do this with at least 5 different/new dogs by next weekend.  I'm also hoping things will either be back to normal or better than normal by a month from now.

He won't get sick.  Those germs aren't transmissible.  Feel bad for you having to bend over (pure torture!) and pick up his pieces though.  Sinus infections suck.  I get them too all the time--be sure to use your saline rinse!  (And if you have a neti-pot, don't use tap water!!  You can die from it)....

Glad you guys are doing OK after the attack..:-)

If dogs would get sick from eating / shredding used kleenex, Brody would have been a gonner a long time ago. (or at least sick an awful lot) since that is one of his favorite things to do.  We have to keep the bathroom door closed or he'll be in the hallway shredding away.  If I leave one on the coffee table, Lilly the table surfer will get it down for him!  Hope you feel better soon.  One thing that I do to relieve pressure.... take a hot washcloth (as hot as you can stand on your face, but don't burn youreslf) wrap it in saran wrap, put it over my eyes / nose and put a heating pad over that to keep it warm.  10 - 15 minutes makes a big difference in how my head feels.

O goodness, I hope you'll be okay soon! You are doing an amazing job with park rehab. :)

Thank you everyone, it's so glad to know he won't get sick! And thanks for the tips on dealing with a sinus infection too. :]  I get them twice a year, it seems, but this is the worst one yet! Blech.
