Okay, we need boots for the extreme cold - can anyone share their experiences. Tootsie tried on 5 different types and none would stay on...

It's all in the strap design, try muttluks.
We tried them on this morning, wouldn't stay on no matter how tight I tied the strap. I have the Mushers Wax which works great for protection from everything except the extreme cold. This am was 20 degrees and she lifted her paws immediately and couldn't walk...tomorrow night will be 5 degrees so I am at a loss as to how she will do her business...

What size did you get? Did you get the fleece lined or all weather model? Make sure the foot goes in all the way and then fasten the strap. Practice wearing them indoor first, let her get used to them, then take her outside.

It was -4F / -20C windchill here in Ontario and my pack and the 2 cardis had no problem in the snow, make sure you keep Tootsie's paw pads fur trimmed first before you apply the Musher's secret, long fur = instant icicles. Dig in deep and fill the wax between the gaps of the paw pads. Avoid walking in slush, keep her in deep / fresh snow.

If everything else doesn't work, then go ahead and purchase some puppy pads and use them OUTSIDE above the snow. Good luck!

Ok, I think the muttluks were the all weather ones - which model and size do you recommend - I will order them as there is not much selection in New Jersey.

Thanks Sam for your help!

Not a problem :) We got the fleece lined Medium, every corgi is different tho, so get out your treats, measuring tape and have Tootsie shake your hand :) Cardis definitely have bigger paws and a size large should work, I think some pembroke can go with small or medium. Here's a sizing chart.

Your great - ordering now. Big snow coming this week so we will be ready. Again, thank you for your quick response. Patti and Tootsie

I haven't heard of anyone really having much luck with corgi boots unfortunately. Have you tried the musher's wax?

I've also seen this advertised but I haven't tried it myself.
