I stumbled upon this article: What your dog says about you

Maybe this discussion has already existed.

But what do you think owning a Corgi says about us owners??

Curious to know your thoughts. :)

That we are up for a challenge?!?!  or least that's how I feel.  We hadn't had Ginger for 48 hours and I was second guessing myself because she was soooooo much work as an 11 week old puppy.  But now at almost a year and a half I'm really glad I stuck it out.  Don't get me wrong, she's still quite a handful, but I wouldn't trade her for anything.  She's turning into a great dog.  I kept thinking that she would outgrow the back-talking and stubborness, but I think that's here to stay and I Iove it because it makes her the great dog she is.  :)

Yes back talking and stubbornness agreed! We have two corgis!! Im actully learning more about my self because of these two dogs then i ever did raising three kids... imagine that? These two corgis challenge me and love me ...what more can i say!

That I'm a little nutty.  Utter and complete chaos doesn't bother me.  That it definitely doesn't have to always be my way.  That I'd rather have fun than have a clean house.  That getting up early for the dog is OK sometimes.  That money isn't everything.  That I can love totally and unconditionally.  That sudden random acts of play are fun.  That when someone is sad they just need you to come sit by them.  That life is too short to diet.  And on and on....

Love how that is worded... I feel the same!

I think it says that we are social and like to enjoy life. Also, that we don't always have to be in charge...Lol. Corgis tend to be very happy but have definite minds of their own.
When I was a child my parents were respected breeders of Saint Bernards.  Enough said right?  I am not interested in any large breeds.  The biggest dog my husband and I have had was Aussie-sized.  As he was a mixed breed we rolled the dice on him as a puppy.  What a sweetheart old Hoover was!  I also do not like drooling or, how to put this delicately, to see a dog's "Out Door" all the time.  The corgi is the very best of all worlds for me.  Love the little nuts!

Cindi, i was wondering what out door means? lol especially when you said you love the little nuts~

im laughing so hard!

all joking aside i agree!

Oooh, that was a slip wasn't it? Considering all of our dogs have been spayed /neutered, I'd say I wasn't a fan of those either ;)
DITTO.. the marking was a problem, Got that fixed.. :)

This article made me grin and flash back to Edison's puppy kindergarten.  We were in our third week of puppy class when all of a sudden, I bolted upright with the realization that *everyone* in that room had a dog that was, to some degree, like them.  The thin, nervous human had a Jack Russell terrier, the heavyset brunette had a St. Bernard, the best-groomed person in the room was with the show-quality Aussie (also best-groomed of her species) and the owners of the white Lab were blonds who always wore at least one white sweater between them.  I nearly burst out laughing on the spot.

Then I looked down at our corgi puppy and thought to myself, "Stumpy legs, long torso, has the amazing ability to look ridiculous, cute and dignified all at the same time, strongly food motivated... well, there are worse ways to live."  :)

Lol! It means we have patience, and pockets filled with dog cookies. If you were to go through my pocketbook, you would find a bag of dog cookies, a brush, a leash, a collapsable bowl, and a packet of baby wipes. We like to play, a lot. We like to play to the point of exsaustion. we know how to compromise, and how to have fun. We are flexible, and perhaps not the neatest people ever.
hahahaha! i have to laugh at this comment  because of all the times someone has askme "where is their tail? or he has no legs" ....but  they sure get a lot of attention because of the cuteness!
