What kind of treats?

Hello,
So my husband and I have nine week old corgi (Chips). In two weeks we are starting puppy training classes. The trainer wants us to bring some good motivators (treats, toys etc) to class. She recommended cut up hot dogs and other soft treats. This is our first puppy and training class so I was wondering if any of you have good recommendations or advise regarding puppy treats for class or just advise in general before we start class.

Old cheese and freeze dried liver are the staples, cheese for easing into learning as they go loco for it. I wouldn't feed hotdogs to a person then again a dog. Loki is also crazy for NOW! duck and turkey treats, however I cannot find them anywhere currently, and when he was young they were too hard for him.

I forgot to mention ones I use that are softer--Bit O Love soft jerky strips. I break them up into smaller pieces. I've never seen the Charlee Bear treats. I'm going to have to check those out online.

Hot dogs work wonderful cut in TINY pieces (I quarter and then cut up small).There"s a company makes a liver snack(in a purple bag,I forgot the name)that works well they have 2 sizes but I cut up the big ones as it's cheaper! Leftover steak,pork or chicken work well cut up small too. I have found the cheese is too mushy and hard snacks don't work as well in class if they have to chew them but I do use these at home. We have a pet store that many times has samples of the high end food so I grab them if they have some (we have a 3 bag limit especially salmon works well).I always keep them by my door/dog stuff and then I don't have to get them out but can grab quickly to get some!

its a huge box of little individual packages (lasts a long time) and they're very small, which is great!
soft and pungent
They can actually be used as a dog food, so I sometimes mix it in with her normal food, and feel its better than some other treats.

So thanks for all the advice and recomendations. It sounds like I just need to find something that he can eat quickly and that smells oh so tasty.

I used boiled chicken. It is easy to break up and very motivating!
My dog Miranda hates all cookies except the expensive all meat ones or cheap chicken. Since I cook chicken once a week for our family anyway it is not an issue making a little for them. But it depends on the conveneince/cost decision. Anything meaty works really well because it is what they want and they love it. Just make sure it is not sticky or slimy, because you have to hold it for a while... ie. no chicken skins, no wet food. It might seem like common sense would rule them out, but I have seen people use strange things for treats.
