so I wanted to try Pooka on the Wellness Super5Mix food as she was on Nutro and its just not as good and the cost difference isn't big.

And somehow, I got the Senior kind! I thought they were two different flavors and picked the chicken one. I already opened it (and she loves it).

So I wanted to know how big of a difference you think the Senior formula would have. It has Weight Control(which she doesn't need at all) and stuff for joints (always good for a corgi).

I only got a small bag (6lb) and then when I go back I'll get the right kind, but do you think its fine to just feed her this until it's gone?

2nd question
How much should I feed her?

I know about transitioning, but the wellness food doesn't say how much to feed based on weight. I was feeding her a cup in the morning and a cup at night (though she probably only eats 1-1.5 cups a day on average) because she is 20lbs. I was under the impression that with a better dog food you could feed them less and get the same nutrition with less poops. I also thought, since she doesn't eat much, this would be good for her. Why don't they have any guide? The website has no info.

I think I'm going to switch to once a day. She hardly ever eats her breakfast until 4PM anyways and gets dinner at 8, and she waits until 10-midnight if she eats it at all. She's just so small and I read a theory that humans are omnivores so eat all day, but carnivores stomachs are used to being empty most of the time until there's a kill and they gorge. Twice a day feeding is more for large dogs, I think.

Feeding her 1 bag of senior will not harm her! If once a day works for her...great! I actually feed mine 3 x's a day A tatal of about 1.5 cups total or less.! You might have to start by giving her a little less of the Wellness and adjust it as to if she's eating it all. If she was eating 1-1.5 cups I would start at the 1.5 and lower if she doesn't eat it all.
Glad she loves it!
Maybe you'll be lucky and have a "grazer" like my first corgi was. I would put down her measure of food every morning and she would nibble all day long on it. She never got over weight or anything. Of course, I now have a "true blue" corgi that scarfs everything within 30 seconds and looks for more.
No, it won't hurt her at all. As far as amount, it varies from dog to dog, but from what I've seen, most if the Corgis get no more than 1 cup. Mine is the same weight as yours and gets a fair amount of exercise and she gets 2/3 cup a day (split into two feedings). She is, however, on an extremely high quality, very concentrated food (Orijen). When she was in Flint River she got closer to 1 cup a day, but still a little under.
The store where I buy my dog food will take back a bag of food as long as there is a tiny bit of kibble still in it, and you have a receipt. Did you try that?
