Hi fellow corgi lovers. Bear was born 12/11/12. I had two corgis before Bear and sadly lost both of them within the same year last year. Bear is a bundle of fun and clings to me like glue. I'm hoping to find other corgi lovers in Kentucky so I can do play dates so Bear knows how big he is. He's not as big as my first corgi Johnny so I think he'll be on the small side for a corgi. Right now his play mates are a German Shepherd and a Chihuahua.
I didn't realize this group existed. Well better late than never. Our Vini was born 1/16/12 so he's not really a puppy anymore but he still has a lot of maturing to do. We still can't leave him loose in the house when we are gone - not because he will have an accident but because he gets bored and starts to chew. We didn't have this problem with our other corgis. But we still love him. He is a very funny corgi.
I posted here too in hopes that maybe one of his littermates is on this site. He comes from Cypress Farms in Vacaville. Anyone else from there?
Hi, we are fairly new to the group, too, though I have been following it for a few months prior to joining. My puppy, Phoebe, is the light of my life right now and I really pine for her when I am at work. She's a challenge being both really sweet and then utterly independent while trying to herd us or striking off on her own in our woods. It's a great adventure being a first time corgi mom!
Well hello GUS, aren't you a cutie!
Sarah M.,
Effie contracted Giardia too, at a similar age. Though the 5 day treatment of Panacur did successfully eliminate the infection, the vet also advised me to keep Effie away from potential sources - especially puddle water & the feces of wildlife (deer, rabbits, geese etc), since Giardia thrives in these moist environments. This may not help with your inquiry, but could help prevent Maggie from contracting the infection again. Gd. luck!
Here is Louie , my first corgi puppy. I can say i have been lucky to get puppy that is easy to train. Well sometimes, suddenly he go crazy and running all over the house for no reason and collapse right away :D
The potty train is doing mainly inside the house and outside for morning. I take him for a walk 30 min twice a day. At Saturday, me and my husband take him to human and dog park for playing. Puppy takes a lot of works :D
We are bringing home our 2 new pups next weekend. It has been 12 years since we had puppies so I know this is going to be a challlenge. I have been reading up on all the corgi/puppy books. Anyone have advice on raising 2 pups at once? I could use a refresher course :)
