For those of us that can say "My dog ate my Midterm Paper". How do we keep our little bundle of energy entertained while we are dealing with the stresses of grad school (or undergrad) :-)

Sadly they do not allow dogs on my campus - it is a small private university. I am currently getting my masters in counseling psychology, to be licensed in the field of marriage and family therapy. I think corgis make wonderful therapy dogs and have done a lot of research in the use of therapy animals in the use of sessions with children to reduce their stress levels. It would be so neat to see the other students reactions to seeing how children react to therapy animals, I've seen it in classrooms as a teacher and in other places as well. It's definitely worthwhile.

I will have to remember to keep my textbooks off the floor with my new puppy though!!

i agree it is the most interesting. Thats great your going to be a vet, everyone wanted me to be a vet because I love animals so much but i decided to work on people instead. However I would really love to open a rescue one day, and help rehabilitate animals.

I'm actually planning to go to vet school so it made sense to get a biology degree since it covered most of the prereqs I need to apply and of the different biologies neurobiology was the most interesting. I started in microbiology and switched over

Wow thats pretty quick. I loved neuroanatomy. Im not sure why...Well i had a great professor, who discovered many important things in neuroscience and founded the david geffen school of medicine. so that was awesome. Are you studying to be a neurologist?

I'm studying neuroanatomy right now :( test tomorrow. The teacher shows us pictures of brains with arrows pointing to parts and says "what structure is this?" and we have a minute to name it, then we move on to the next one
