Of course since we have cardis we can't do the instinct test .. they only allow Pembrokes for that one. But that's okay, both of mine have already passed their tests in the past. Just a warning that they ONLY allow Pembrokes. ..as for the Corgi Faire, they DO allow both varieties of corgi! And I usually go every year, although Crystal isn't that fond of other corgis so I have to keep a really close eye on her! Hopefully I'll be in town and able to go this year :) The Corgi Faire is a blast!
Also don't miss the Corgi Faire in Dixon on 11/11. It is a lot of fun. We have been many times and we always try to make time for it. This will be our new puppy's first time but we have been with our other dogs and it's fun to enter the contests and just to see all the other cute corgis. There is more info here: http://goldengatecorgis.org/home.html Maybe we will meet some of you there!!
This coming weekend in Santa Rosa (North Bay) there will be a herding instinct test performed in connection with the Golden Gate PWC Club. I think there is still time to enter. We did it a couple of times and it is so cool to see the herding instinct come out in them when they go in with the sheep (or not, as in the case of one of our corgis who only wanted to eat their droppings LOL). I don't think we will be entering it because our older male already passed twice and our puppy just got neutered and I don't know if he will be ready. But we are planning on going out to watch in the afternoon. Info is at the website for the club.
Don't forget this weekend is the 5rd Saturday! So there will be a corgi meetup on the small dog side, Shoreline Dog Park in Mountain View, 10 am!
A while back, their was messages going out about Beans who was having problems with his back. Does anyone have the information like doctor she went to and the acupuctures she used. I have a friend that her dog is having issues. You can send it directly to me at Debbie.Algieri@sbcglobal.net
Pilgor and my family live in Cupertino, Ca. We cannot wait to meet other Corgis in the park soon. Debbie thank you for the info. I want you to meet Pilgor. He is such a sweet and gentle guy.
Hi Norma,
The Bay Area group meets every 3rd Saturday & 5th Saturday if there is one! They are held Shoreline Dog Park in Mountain View, 10 am! Take 101 to Shoreline, follow it out to the end and turn right at the end. You will see the park. All are welcome to come play. Bella and I don't generally make the meet ups becuse I volunteer on Saturdays but I'm sure the group would love to meet you and your new addition.
