Hi Everyone!

We're having and East Bay Corgis meet up at Cesar Chavez Park near the Berkeley Marina on 4/25/09 from 1-3 PM. If it works out well we will continue to have the meet ups on the 4th Saturday of the month. Hope to see some of you there! :)

I actually won't be able to make tomorrow, but I met a young lady at the dog park in san jose and I told her about the corgi meet at Shoreline, so she said she was going to try to make it. Hope to make next month :-)
Thanks and have a great week end!

As far as I know. I have taken Paddy the last three months and the other corgis have shown up every time. Hope to see you there.

Chrissy: I'm actually in American Canyon ... Also a first time dog owner / Corgi owner. :)
If you don't mind, the Veteran's Park actually has a small dog park. It's right near Sonoma BLVD near a Micky D's and Safeway.

I'm new by the way to the group and the site. I'm a first time dog owner and a first time corgi owner. I'd love to find out if there are any local walking groups/clubs/or meet ups near the Vallejo area.

I'd LOVE to do a corgi meet up in Vallejo (that's where I'm from!! heh, heh!!) I wouldn't mind visiting Napa either.

Talking about parks? If anyone is in the Sonoma County Area there's a HUGE dog park in Petaluma. I heard it was 2 acres from one person and 7 acres from another. I'm not sure about the size (I would lean closer to about 3 or 4) but it's so nice, all the dogs and dog owners are extremely nice. No one feels boxed in so there's no anxiety among the dogs. I used to go to the one in Rohnert Park and everyone is so uptight and rude.

Also, on a separate note, try the gentle leader. We just got it today, Destro is a great dog but he LOVES to pull and it's awful, but with the gentle leader, the pulling is gone!!! It's now a complete delight to walk him, and it seems as though he listens better since I'm controlling him instead of the opposite.

There is a nice dog park (has 2 fenced areas & new turf) off San Thomas & 17 its part of the Los Gatos Trails. We go there quit often.
I won't be able to make the play day in Mt View, as I have to meet the horse shoer at 10am. Hope to make the next one!

The Los Gatos Creek off-leash facility is located off of Dell Avenue in Campbell and is the newest of our three dog parks. Located in the recently renovated Los Gatos Creek County Park, the facility has two fenced areas to keep small and large dogs separated. Call (408) 356-2729 for more information.
