Wow! Thanks for all the info. Very helpful! We will check out the area and find a good place for him. I have a car so I could take theo elsewhere to a dog park too. Yes, we would love to meet up sometime. I am free a good amount of the time right now so let me know what days and times work for u!

Hi Claire and Theodore!  I used to live in Rogers Park and would bring my corgi Winston to the beach park area...between Labor Day and Memorial Day during the fall and winter, people feel more comfortable in letting their dogs run loose.  Also, especially before 9 am and after 9 pm, cops don't seem to enforce the dogs-on-leash rule as well as no-dogs-on-beach rule.  Therefore, you'll tend to see dog owners and dogs hanging out at the beach.  Corgis are herding dogs, so they tend to stick by their owners, compared to other breeds that may tend to wander off.

Otherwise, I don't know of any official dog parks in Rogers Park.  Sometimes people also let their dogs run in fenced in areas like tennis courts not being used at the moment, for example.  Just look around when you walk your pup and notice how others are using certain areas for their dogs to play and run.  I live in Edgewater water, still walking distance to the East Rogers Park.  I'd be happy to have our corgis meet at the beach park area.  Mine loves to play ball!

Theodore and I finally made our big move to Chicago and would love to find some corgi friends for him. He is only five months old, but came from a home in des Moines with other dogs and he needs playmates ASAP. Let me know if anyone knows of a dog park in Rogers park or evanston and or if u want to meet up! Also we would love to come to the get together in October.
