why is Lily proving harder to train on recalls?

Yesterday was a nightmare and left me frustrated and angry.
Lily ran way again. She was walking with my son and her collar broke. She ran like crazy into the neighbors back yard to the camp field . We tried to bring her back for more than 2 hours...she was running from us,chasing the birds , crossing streets...I almost gave up. I had 15 kids helping me, a pocket full of treats, car keys, toys and nothing....even when I stayed alone with her, in that wet field, she stopped , looked…

How is your Corgi's personality?
My Lily is sweet , but definitely does't like hugs .She is bossy and sometimes is hard to have her coming to me when I call her.
Is this the Corgi's way to say that loves us, or just a teenager behavior?

I just changed Lily's food and noticed that her little leg is itching and is loosing hair...is it coincidence?

Since you live in Napperville is there any way you could talk to this event coordinator, Rose(?) in person? Maybe the details could get ironed out better face to face. If the coordinator is vage and unorganized maybe you could pin her down on some of the details.
I would still hope for a potluck just to make it more of a social event. OR do you think that it is better for everyone to bring their own picnic lunch?

- Your Lily is sooooo cute! We should get our corgis together! I am in Carol Stream. I have a 22 month old female. She needs a young playmate. My fiance has a 10ish year old lhasa that doesn't really like to play the way Izzie wants to.
