Fandom is a term used to refer to a subculture composed of fans characterized by a feeling of sympathy and camaraderie with others who share a common interest... Members of a fandom associate with one another, often attending fan conventions (such as science fiction conventions), and publishing and exchanging fanzines... The term is sometimes associated with anime/manga; serious fans of this subject are also called otaku. A person with a devotion to something in a way that places him or her outside the mainstream (Geek).

You are among friends here, RMD!

What are some of your favorite animes?

aww we're definitely among friends here! i'm a self-professed geek while my husband's only a consensus-professed geek. the guy plays WoW religiously, so that has to constitute a geek. i'm more of an anime-watching, nickelodeon cartoon/simpsons obsessed, uno/scene it playing, corgi loving weenie.

Hi everyone! I'm an avid gamer and usually when I'm not doing stuff with my little corgi we're usually amuse ourselves with games: board, video and card. Tried teaching my dog how to play chess once..that didn't end up so well..he tried eating one of the pawns..lol. My corgi always sits right next to me as I play WoW or Gears of War 2 on my Xbox 360...he actually gets into and will start barking and growling at all the locusts. He's also been known to play Guitar Hero III with the guitar...he's not that good but he's been trying to impress me with his 'mad skills' as my boyfriend says. It's really cute. My boyfriend is also a gamer and we both love anime. In fact the first time I ever saw a corgi in besides when the Queen came out on DVD was Cowboy Bebop. ^^ I read my dog the manga Inubaka which he enjoys very much all because of the corgi puppy in the first book. lol.

Yay! Geeks! Though I run closer to the lines of an otaku, I still love my geeks.

Scifi- Though I don't normally run out to see the latest Star Trek film I do still like it.
Fantasy- Yes.
Horror- Um, no. Just no. Too much of a vivid imagination.
Comic books- Though I get most of my comic book knowledge from listening to other friends I still like it a lot. Manga on the other hand. Yes, gimmie, gimmie, gimmie.
Anime- My cup of tea! I recently finished watching Vampire Knight (Guilty), and am part way through first season of Gundam 00.
RPGs- Not so much RPGs as Role-Playing via IM. I have YEARS worth of stories backlogged on my PC.
Board Games- Candy Land? lol j/k I have recently tried playing UFS, which is a card game. I kicked my bf's ass on my first game. No, he did not "let me win."
Video Games- Super Smash Brothers is about as close to gaming as you can get me. I do also like the classic fighting games MK, SF, KoF. SFIV Unlimited is on order. My bf is the gamer of the two of us.
etc.- Lets hear it for fanfiction! And not that Mary Sue crap either.

Lets see...I can perv with the best of them, and I am the one and only acceptation to my bf's, friend's NGC (No Girls Club.)

My 2 little ones wiggle around my feet when I set up for game. They also tend to eat my dice! I have lost many a D20 that way. Sadie(the bigger corgi) knows have to push the button on my iMac to turn it off if she needs to go out.

Ein usually rests his head either on or beside our modem, absorbing the constant stream of data everyday. He doesn't like the drumsticks used in Guitar hero, which is weird because he's fine with regular sticks from trees. And Left 4 Dead (PC) is really fun!

Sounds like your corgi just jacked into the Matrix. Whoa.
And her name is Liliput, that's great!
