Are any of you interested in doing a herding instinct test on your corgi? I am taking my corgi, but I asked about scheduling a "corgi day" for a group discount (it's usually $30 if you go on your…Continue

thanks! we are actually in the inland empire, but there arent many corgis here, so we try to branch out to LA/OC since we are kinda in the middle! we're hoping to come down for some meets whenever there are any! we go to the SGV ones sometimes, but there are often not alot of corgis there ):
Welcome! We have not been the most active members, but do check out Snickmom and all the great Orange County Corgi owners.
My kids and I had such a fun time at the HB dog park yesterday! There were at least 15 corgis there, all wonderfully well behaved, beautiful dogs. The puppies were entertaining, to say the least! I did not socialize Snickers well when she was young and am trying to make up for it now. She has gotten to where she looks forward to meeting dogs on our walks, but was uncomfortable with so many around. She usually stayed near my son and corrected the puppies that didn't get her more subtle clues that she was a non-participant. She definitely relaxed more the longer we were there, and I think this was the perfect environment to help her come out of her shell. It was hard to believe that she is the same dog who is so happy playing with our spaniel and Dolly at home. Dolly, on the other hand was in heaven. She didn't know the other dogs well enough to really play, but she was in the thick of the group and seemed to mind her doggy manners. She was easy to spot with her plumey tail up above all the backs. She will also benefit from coming back often. I just wish it was a shorter drive!
Snickers and Dolly will be at the HB dog park tomorrow!
@Snickermom Yes, there is a pretty good size group of corgis that meet up at the small dog side of Huntington Beach Dog Park in Central Park (not the beach) every Sunday from 10am - 12pm (most show up around 11 am). Located on the corner of Edwards St. and Inlet Dr.

Hopefully we will see you there sometime!
Silly me. I created this group when Lucy was very social with other dogs. Now that she is miserable in dog group situations, I've done nothing with the group. I was hoping just to find "neighbors" like you guys, and I have. Look forward to another meet-up!
We took the dogs to the HB dog beach Sunday and met two corgis. Just said hi to the Tri, but spent some time talking to THE most adorable black and white cardigan puppy. He was soooo sweet. His people said they were at the HB park on Sunday. (Silly me, I thought you all met at the beach) He (owner) said something about a facebook site that I should check out. Can someone help me remember the name?
On our way to Mendicino Park, LH, Snickers (corgi), Dolly (corginese) and I saw a corgi/shepherd. We met Asia the corgi and did a lap around the park and learned there is another corgi mix in the neighborhood (forgot his name). We said hi to Max the corgi on our way home. We have seen 2 other corgis in the neighborhood in the past. If only we could get the message out for them all to join Mycorgi!
