Had our dog shaved and trimmed last year due to our vet advising us to do this due to a huge tick problem in our area - I think it also helped with the Australian heat in Summer. Apart from looking a lot trimmer and being easier to check for ticks I noticed a big increase in his energy levels and our 5.00/5.30am walk was much more bouncier.
My mommy shaves me down when it starts to get warm and I pant a lot. Here in Hawaii the humidity really affects the heat...My fur grows back to it's normal long luxurious length in about 4 months or so. During the "winter" mom just haves the groomer shave down my undercarriage and legs b/c they get really dirty when we go walking in the morning and I want to step onto the dewy grass.
Hope this helps!
I've never heard of Fluffs before. I'm thinking it is Corgi's with long fur? If so, this is the group for me. I have a Cardigan who has a beautiful coat of long fur. Unfortunately, he hates getting brushed, but will put up with it. He is so good tempered.
Did the fluff in rescue get rescued?
