Pumpkin's favorite thing is to hide in the garden and chase lizards. Once she fearlessly chased a rather large iguana into our pool. True to the Corgi standard, anything that moves!!

Yes, during the first summer Bunny lived with us, she spent many hours in the strawberry bed, laying there munching on berries. We didn't get very many, and my mom refused to eat any we actually got. Didn't know if the dog had licked them or not. That strawberry bed is more traditional, roundish and has two levels. Very easy for Bunny to get in.
My newer bed is 16' tall and Bunny still has her own, which will be made smaller this year to accommodate more raised beds.
Here are some links to pictures and info for making a green roof, on dog houses and chicken coops. You can reinforce an existing dog house or build supports for the green roof.
We have adobe soil, very hard in the summer and very wet and sticky in the winter wet. Very little time between when working in the soil is fun, so I'm going to raised beds. I'm also going to put a chicken coop inside a raised bed, hoping that will help prevent a chicken massacre when I'm at work. Love the fresh eggs and chickens are so relaxing to watch.
We're working on getting some angora bunnies as well, housed in rabbit hutches about 30" off the ground, with trays underneath to catch the droppings for fertilizing the garden after they've aged a bit.
Have a great morning/afternoon everyone
Oh yes, we are really thinking about making the back yard more of a doggy sanctuary. We would like to do the platform and a sand box. Perhaps a pond or fountain as well. I know I don't have to worry about stray cats in the sandbox. Lodie and Izzy are not fond of cats at all. With the dog door leading straight out back the cats wouldn't have a chance. We also have misters to keep them cool during the hot day's. They seem to really like the mister's and they are fairly reasonable.
Cooper is so funny,,He will be right in the way as im working in the garden ,,but when im done he dos'nt mess with or dig up anything,,,,wow i think im lucky :o)
I guess take note, Corgi's love starwberry plants. I had some I planted around our tree in our front yard. Well lets say we never seen one strawberry from last summer. So far Tucker has managed to pull what was left out of the ground. They have successfully managed to prep the planter box for this year as well. I don't have to worry about turning up the soil they have already done it for me. We will be putting some type of fencing around the plant box this year. LOL! :-)
