There is a nice park (Rhodes Jordon) In lawrenceville & the Lawrenceville Kennel Club has had several matches there in the past years. Dara do you live close enough to check on that?
Hey Juno, some of us have the corgi with a tail not fuzz butts. :- )

It would be great fun to meet all of the other Corgis! Maybe after the holidays.

Hi! The CGC is often done at local kennel clubs where they teach beginning obedience. A lot of the trainers there are certified to give these tests. It basically teaches them the basic commands and good manners in front of other dogs and people. You might check the akc.org board to see where they might have these kind of classes. I see you are Ellijay. We have family in Blue Ridge. It is a beautiful area!

Boy, is it ever raining here in North GA. Today is pretty so far though. What is required of the canine good citizen test and where do you take that? I have a 7 mo old corgi that would love that kind of stuff!

How is everyone doing here in GA? Are you getting rain? How about an update on dogs? Gracie is 21 weeks today. I think she weighs 16+ pounds. She passed her AKC S.T.A.R. puppy test last week. The trainer wants her to take the Canine Good Citizen Test this evening. I think it is too early for her but we may try any way. We plan to continue her to next stage of obedience and then hopefully agility. Check in when you can!

I know of a Welsh lady who lives in Dawsonville GA who rescues Corgis. That's where I got my puppy, Rosebud. I have two female corgis, Lucy and Rosebud. I live in the north GA area, in Ellijay, and would love to meet up with people!

I have a corgi mix ready for adoption if you are looking to adopt. He's a good boy. He may end up going to the Atlanta area to a no-kill shelter in hopes to get adopted out there.

Are you looking to adopt or put a dog into the rescue? Last I called the PWCCGA they were not accepting any dogs as they are slammed full. I called them back in March trying to keep my foster dog from being killed--I ended up fostering him because of them being so full.
