Mine (all 6 dogs, 2 blue heelers, 1 aussie, 1 german shep., 1 jack russell then sweet LOLO) ALL love to roll in anything stinky or dead!! Yuck!! Lolo is the only one we keep in the house, the german shep is 17 years old and was dumped on us out in the country. An old neighbor sold their farm and told me that she was going to shoot her since she couldn't take her to town. She knew I would take her!!! She is blind, deaf and has hip dysplasia, but we are going to keep her fed and comfortable the rest of her life. She is so sweet!!

Oh yeah dead animals are fun to roll in too !! LOL
She loves to catch mice and eat them.. all
She chases the squirrels, but has never caught one. Hoof trimmings are yummy too. Humm.. maybe I will have to try the Wellness dog food. I don't want her getting any heavier (per our vet), so maybe its a good thing she does not eat alot...

Oh, she is tiny! Cori is a heathy 26pds. She get Hill Science Diet. She is not a good eater, sometimes only eats one meal a day = 1/2 cup. I try to brush her every other day at least, and get her bathed every 8 wks with a pedicure :-) She loves to roll in the horse poop! LOL

I do have a great shedding tool/brush for horses, that's a great idea. She gets brushed a lot, but not with a deep tool, just soft face brush. She eats Purina Active dog food. She is a light eater, not a pig like our other dogs are. She is so tiny. I think she weighs 9 lbs now and she will be a year old in less than a month. and YES, we do live with a lot of horse and dog hair, but, WE WOULDN'T HAVE IT ANY OTHER WAY, WOULD WE!!! :) the dogs and horses are our lives......Thanks Malia and JC!!

we pretty much all live with dog hair or horse hair all the time, don't we :-)
I guess just brush them alot. I really like the furmanator brushes, gets down to their under coat. I guess they have them for horses too!

That is really great. If we lost our Lolo, it would devastate Kennedy and I. She is like my second child and like Kennedy's little sister!! She has the sweetest personality!! BUT THE SHEDDING IS UNREAL!!! Any suggestions as to how to control the shedding? I vaccuum EVERY DAY!! (i'm a neat freak.....)

Oh that is terrible about Kennedy and Jennifer's corgis. Kip is aware around the horses and he knows which ones to avoid. I think the horse would go bye bye the first time it tried to hurt our corgi

I would like to add my thoughts. We are on our third Corgi because of horses. The first two didn't make it past 6 months old. We had an old, mean gelding that would chase them and stomp on them. HEARTBREAKING!!! We live on a horse farm, so we can't just keep the dogs away from horses. What we have done with Lolo is this: She is part of our family, she sleeps inside with us and when we ride in the arena and she chases either a cow or a horse, she gets a rock thrown her direction. It breaks her concentration enough for her to go towards the rock and away from the horse/cow. At the same time, we yell, 'no, lolo'. For some reason, it's worked wonders with her. She returns to our side and stops (for a while). Every now and again, if we can't call her off, we catch her, tie her up, the whole time saying, "no,no". She has learned that if she doesn't call-off, she gets to be tied up while we ride and she HATES that......Those horses/cows are just too big and fast for our little shorties!!

Cori has been chased by a couple of the horses at the ranch, so she pretty much stays out of their way.. she does run up and down the pasture fence line, barking at them.
