OK, so maybe I'll try the tabasco. And some new rawhides.

Ouch! The only furniture Izzie's chewed on was the stools in the kitchen; I rotate out plenty of bones, ligament chews and bully sticks during the day and she generally leaves furniture alone now.

With my parents doxie we resorted to tabasco sauce. None of the sprays worked and he was destroying ALL the wood in the house! Furniture, tables, window sills, bookcases, nothing was without toothmarks. The tabasco worked very well; adding in new chews at the same time made him stop within days.

No matter how many rawhides Jet has available, the stool legs in the kitchen still taste better. The last few days we have been leaving Jet in his crate and letting Penny stay in the kitchen while we're out running errands. I hate locking him up, but he's destroying the house! We are getting laminate flooring put down because he and Penny have shredded the carpet.

After coming home from work today I discovered that Roxy chewed a hole in the couch. I guess its back to crate training.

@jan
Yes I know from personal experiece. After finding a dead rat near my chewwed pond and busted pond pump powercord, I began removing it from the water. I then found out how the rat died. Yowch. Memo to me, unplug things first. :p

Peach use to chew up anything and everything she could get her mouth on. She chewed mostly because she was bored, and Mario wouldnt play with her when she was a puppy. I got both of them their own kong. stuffed it with goodys and covered the end in yogart and froze it. I also got both of them one of these http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2751743&lmdn=Dog they LOVE IT. I go to petco and get the little training treats and they fit perfectly inside.

Hot sauce might hurt, but electrical wires hurt a lot more.

My puppy has been chewing up everything in my house. I've tried using Bitter Apple and Fooey Bitter Spray. He LIKES the taste! You'd think I'm putting BBQ sauce on the furniture the way he chews it up! Has anyone had success with another product? I hesitate to use a hot sauce because I don't want to hurt the little guy.
