I was born and raised in Nebraska, but have lived in Arizona for 11 years.  I just adopted Mr. Jerry Garcia on 10/29/2011.  Little did he know that he would become the furriest little Husker fan!  He gets so excited when I pull out his jersey.  I take him to my family's pub in Scottsdale for every game!

My name is LeAnne and I am owned by Bacio (bAHchO) a RHT and Bedde (bEEdEE) a RW.  I am active as a rescuer and transport person.  I love getting together for meetup/playdates.  We just moved to Omaha in July.  I've been coming here to visit friends since '99 but I have never lived here til now.  We love Omaha and look forward to making new friends.

I was visiting family in Minnesota and going to the Minnesota Renaissance Festival at the time of the meetup. Scout stayed with my dad's parents and their miniature pinscher/spaniel mix while we went to the MN Ren Fest. Turns out that dogs are allowed every weekend and not just on "pet week," so next year, Scout is coming with us. That's something to note if you're ever in Minnesota in the fall.

ok, you Nebraska people, where were you?  We were late because of closed roads that I didn't know about but it wasn't raining.........there were other dogs in the "all dog" side but we were all alone in the small dog area!

can anyone in omaha area tell me what's the weather forecast for tomorrow?  I am in Iowa and I am seeing 60% chance of thunderstorms.  Does that sound right?  I don't want to drive there if chances are good for rain. please let me know!

wow! 7 corgis! I was reading your info and couldn't help but think how lucky for you and the pack to have come together!  with a corgi, bad days don't seem so bad and good days are heaven!!!  love love love your pics

It really is about time for a NE Corgi Meet Up and we would certainly welcome our Iowa friends! I can't believe it has been almost two years since we had our first meetup out at our farm near Wahoo. I would be willing to meet in Omaha or Bellvue. I don't think I would bring all seven of the Corgi Pack, but two or three would be able to make the trip!

 

On another note, I thought I would post a message that was posted on the Lincoln Corgi Facebook group about a Corgi in need.--If anyone is interested I would be happy to try to make the connection for you.

My old corgi is having trouble with her back legs. Anyone have one of those doggie wheelchairs I could borrow?

Alternatively, we don't give her the quality of life she deserves anymore. If you knew someone who wanted to be mom to a Corgi needing help getting around and without little kids in the house, I could let her go to a new, appropriate home.
