We live near 168th & Blondo. Our Sammie is 13 mos. old. Anne, your Corgi looks SO much like our Sammie. Did you get him in Nebraska?

I saw this on the news, go here and select the contestant from Omaha and vote for her for a makeover of the dog park in Omaha!

HELLO Nebraska Corgi owners! Omaha here. How exciting to find others out there. I have 3 corgis. After I figure out this site a little better I will post some pics. I have 2 red corgis. Lady Bug and Chuck the Bear who are brother and sister. They are 3 years old. We also purchased a tri-colored Corgi back in December. Her name is Miss Piggy and she is a bossy 8 month old.. I look forward to hearing from all of you!

AWESOME NEWS! see message below:

We received the most amazing news yesterday - Lowri somehow survived her ordeal, and is back with her adoptive parents. She was a bit tired, and hungry, but is otherwise in excellent physical condition. Corgi's are tough little dogs, and this certainly helped her survive the harsh conditions of the last two weeks.

We do not know how the tracker dogs were either confused, and led the searchers in the wrong direction or lost her scent in the field with the coyote den. Perhaps some lessons learned for our HUA dogs that are still new at tracking in real-world situation? We just don't know, but will continue their training.

What we do know is that we are so thankful to everyone involved with the search and the animal control officers who eventually captured her and contacted her adoptive parents!

Thanks so much for your expressions of concern and disappointment for Lowri and her mom/dad during the time she was lost. I hope you share our joy that Lowri can now fall in love with her new home! And the words of Dorothy (and Toto) promise, "I'll never leave home again".

Reminders for all of us:

1) If you have a animal with a microchip, make sure it is registered to your name.
2) If you animal has city tags, make sure they are on their collar and they are always wearing the collar. Don't rely on a rabies tag for identification.
3) Check those collars periodically to make sure they aren't too tight or loose. If you use a halter, make sure they are snug. Dogs can back out of them.

More details may follow on our facebook link.

Go hug your dog!
