Sadie and I visited Morse park for the first time. It is pretty nice; only I wish the small dogs had as much room as the big dogs!

I am trying to socialize Sadie with other dogs as much as I can; although it takes her a while to warm up. If a dog runs up at her fast she tends to nip (which we need to work on) but she did play with a few dogs in her puppy class which just ended!

Have you seen a neurologist? Has your vet ruled out DM? My 1st Corgi, Rusty would drag is leg, and eventually was determined to have DM.

I don't have any experience with this issue, but you may want to try a specialist at this point. Either ortho or neurologist. Don't know here you are located, but the Andrew Sams Clinic in Mill Valley CA is very highly regarded with an ortho vet and a neurologist on staff. You may also want to try a holistic vet who does acupuncture and other alternative therapies. I can recommend one in Walnut Creek if you are interested.

Neuro-Spinal Issues: I am wondering if anyone has experienced "neuro-spinal issues" with their corgis. My 12yr old Sophie has started limping on her rear right leg. She doesn't hold it up as if in pain. When she stands, her whole hind end quivers and that back leg will start to drift inward to the point it's as if she's only standing on 3 legs. We've got anti inflammatory (not Prednisone) and muscle relaxant. She got better the first few days, now she's getting worse. Back to vet. I'm keeping her fairly contained so she doesn't move around alot. Anyone have any insight or experience w/this type of problem?

I'm in Japan right now until the 13th, but I would be interested in having a playdate in the Sacramento area sometime! I live about an hour away, but I don't mind driving a bit for the corgis to play. My two both are playful and friendly and go to the dog park in our area on a regular basis. :)

That sounds great Sarah and Sadie!!! We are doing in home dog training to get started early and are looking into a puppy training class in late July! In the meanwhile we are trying to meet dogs we know in our own backyard to see how our little guy does.

Sadie and I are on south Sacramento/ elk grove and she is almost six months. She has been socialized through her puppy training class and seems to respond differently to every dog; sometimes playful and sometimes not. Maybe we can get a few of us from the Sac area for a playdate!
