I would like everyone who becomes a member to please introduce yourselves and the profession you are in or how you may assist members in this group. This is the perfect timing to brag a little here. Let us know what you've done for the community concerning dogs, helping unfortunate dogs, or just the general well being of dogs.

Hi, this is great. I really shouldn't be here because I am only a mommy to my corgi and kids. I am very proud reading through the comments on what y'all are doing with your community or your profession. This will be a great group to gain understanding of things outside our realm or responsibilities. Oh and of course, we all love our CORGIS......YAY for CORGIS.

Hi, I am Bodie's mom. We are in Calif. He recently had back surgery for a disc rupture and is in recovery mode. Bodie is a Cardigan and turned 7 in June. My husband and I have three grown children and no grandchildren in the future forecast. He was a very active dog before surgery and great at herding a ball all over our backyard. We hope for his fitness to return. We are so happy to have him in our lives. And absolutely love him!

Oh, I am also the Vice President of our newly formed Kennel Club, South Central Missouri Kennel Club. We hope to become a resource in our community and also eventually hold fun matches, B-matches, and then eventually a real dog shows but with AKC you have to hold matches before they let you great guns with a real dog show.

My professional avocation involving Corgi's is breeding but it goes so much furthure than that. I also owner/handle when I can, I have been polishing my handling technique, I have a way to go yet. My "real" occupation is taking care of kids with developmental disabilities in my home. Since I have a stay at home job, I have that much more oppurtunity to see to the Corgi's whims and wishes.

My name is Susan DesJardins and own Applejack Pembrokes, my part in the lives of corgi's is to breed as close to standard as possible and always strive to improve the breed. I have donated 2 of my puppies to local organizations that help disabled persons. I also manage an Income Tax store front.

Hello everyone...
I am a certified veterinary practice manager. I retired 2 years ago after working in the veterinary field for over 27 years. I still keep in contact with all my vet friends and they come for dinner often. Tucker is my Pembroke fur baby. Tucker is now 12 1/2 and still walks 3 miles a day and he takes the lead. It is so nice to join your group and communicate with other corgi lovers...Tucker & sherri

Thank you for the invite! I am a publisher and editor and retired university professor who happens to love corgis! I have three currently, but my two year old tri-colored bitch is expecting her first litter. My kennel is called Literary Dogs and while I do not have a litter all the time, or even every year, my pups are bred well to lines I have researched and they are always beautiful. These will be pups ready to go to new homes in December. I am currently developing a blog about writing and have a book coming out in the near future that is all tales about corgis! I am enjoying reading all the comments from other members. It seems like a great corgi group.

Thanks for the invite! I am a full-time attorney for an appellate court and part-time freelance writer. I own two beauty product review sites, do some corporate blog contract writing, and I help my corgi publish his own blog. That one is just for fun, with a little bit of charity fund raising for PAWS of Chicago tossed in.
