Windial I have ben in the ring with Linda Williams and on many occassions sat rinside just to watch her.. She indeed does have a special connection to the corgis she shows and is fascinating to watch albeit a little intimidating She is deffinately one to watch to sharpen handling skills!! I agree:) And a very pleasant if not busy individual willing to share tidbits if asked:)))
Another impressive if young handler I am impressed to watch is our own Cindy's son Alec! So easy going and professional a pleasure to watch in the ring!! Even when weather or dog isnt cooperative , he doesnt miss a step! And at the time I had no clue he was Cindy's son HAHAHAHAHA( hate you Cin- your not old enough to have a kid that age!)
However , having watched a zillion videos of Bill in the ring, I am sure being in the same ring will intimidate me !! Gotta be great experience though!

I'm sort of the same way when entering the same ring as Linda Williams although I'm not as intimidated as I used to be and I don't mean intimidated in a bad way but gosh darn it she really knows what she's doing. At the same time I watch her closely to learn and take any tidbits of advice from her seriously.

FOUND BLACK HEADED TRI MALE
REPOSTED FROM SHOWPEM LISTSERVE
Hi Everyone,
I'm reaching out to everyone in hopes that someone may have some information on the owner of a FOUND black headed tri male, approx. 8 yrs. old, in fairly decent shape, the dog has his tail properly docked, all dews removed and is in tact. He was found or at least ended up in the Glouster County, NJ shelter most recently and is currently being housed at my fabulous neighbor/dog sitter, who has the biggest heart of anyone I know. Please email me privately at brumbaercorgi@msn.com , I have a couple of photos of him, would love to reunite him with his owner or forever home if possible.
Thanks

We've used Tracy Liston, who handles, owns and shows some of her own dogs. She and her mom, Mary Hering, have been a great help and encouragement. I've been doing the handling for the last few shows and I haven't done anything too bad, in spite of me at the other end of the leash, Hank is still winning... he really has taken to this show thing. We're already thinking about what's next after we finish him.

Bill Shelton is hard to beat. He's also a fount of experience and knowledge, he's been really helpful too. Many of his dogs share the same sire as Hank: Ch. Woodbine Flashy Alibi... we think from four different litters. Every one of his dogs is a winner. It's intimidating to be in the ring with him... but just watching him has been an education.

The Santa Barbara club is kind of like stepping back in time when this whole dog thing was only for the "upper crust". They have a display of trophies that go back nearly 100 years, very impressive. They're trying to regain some of the prestige and community they used to have.

Mike and Deb, Hank sure looks a pretty boy!! Are you guys showing him yourself? Or with a handler? I have yet to be in a ring with Bill Shelton, he sure has some winning dogs!! I would be most prpbably nervous!!LOLOL
I am so excited for you on his wins!!! GO HANK!! We are still naked and missed lake elmo and will miss Marquette too:( but think the gods are smiling.. I think I see a bit of undercoat returning so we will see what the next couple months do !!

tell him to hang in there. he's young and he can handle more than we can. it's great that abbey got the green light. 12 babies are a lot for one momma girl. say, can you have alec e-mail me about maybe handling joker next year. i was very impressed with him last year at davenport and had you guys not having to rush off, i would have talked to him there. joker has his grand already in UKC. so next year we are going to work on his AKC. he has his first point already so the ice has been broken. all i'm doing with him this year is the IABCA at purenia farms in november. he has his puppy Ch. there already. he also went best in show puppy-bred-by and reserve best in show puppy at IABCA. sandy showed him then. i'm going to brave it and put the old man in the shows then also. it will be his first time going to IABCA. so, open adult, here we come. jack hasn't been shown since davenport of last year. he aught to be up and wild for it. are you and alec plannning on going to the IABCA in nov? take care of all those little ones. can't wait to see new pic's.
