Sorry, the judges in Springfield won't like what I have-color or type so won't waste the money or time. Freeport-not sure, if it's guarnteed a major without my help, maybe--have to ask Alec as he's the one making the decisions. All I have is a bitch who needs just her majors now and I don't like throwing money just to try and make a major.

I do have two other bitches that can be entered for points. I hate to do that as they are ones that normally I wouldn't show but if it's short and someone wants to pay the entry just to make sure that we get the majors made, then I have the extras available.

In all honesty, I'm in no hurry to finish Pete. She's maturing nice and a little different then some of my other dogs. Taking after her grandfather in many ways which I love. So for now, I just take her out here and there, have some fun with her. I've never been fully committed in keeping her for the long haul either. If the right person makes the right offer, she's gone.

Finished the last few dogs too fast for my liking. Wasn't trying too but hit the right judges and entries. Now they sit at home to grow up some. It's kind of nice to piddle along with rePete :)

Right now though, staying home and deal with puppies sounds so much more fun. I've got three dogs in training for various other titles so I can concentrate more on those things-tracking, obedience, rally and herding. I much prefer a balanced dog:)

59 days from the first breeding will be Wednesday the 25th. Poor girl, honestly, I've had big litters with Marg but Abbey is really out doing her.

She must have a lot then! There should be Majors at Rockfort Freeport and Springfield this October. I think we are just one dog short with Laura, Me and Kim Finck going? I think Connie was going to them and maybe Kerri. And Cindy F. has a boy but have not been able to see if she will be showing him or not. Laura has 3 boys, I have 2, and Kim has one. i have a bitch, Kim has one, and Laura is showing a bitch too. Amana fell just to close the the Western Reserve for me and is on my weekend to work. After that the next show will be the Christmas Cluster in Chicago and maybe a Show in end of Nov. if my husband is not laid off again.

No majors and now with no majors, then there are at least 3 dogs not coming which gets it down to I think, 1 point in bitches and possibly no points in dogs. Sigh, hoping for at least a major in one sex. Granted there are 7 specials but that was expected. Shame as it's a four day show in a great location-well unless it rains-heehee.
I guess that means that we are done showing for the year as the remaining shows don't seem to be getting the entries nor are the judges wonderful. It's now that I wish we had a blue class dog to show :)

I just hate whelping first time bitches and especially as big as she is. We had to put her on crate rest last week as she was stressing her self out so much and was totally underfoot. Will have a count tomorrow afternoon either via xrays or she decided to pop!

Okay two days left and go figure, the full moon is tomorrow night-we settled on the astronomy litter theme too. I'm on pins and needles now. Along with the dismal entry at my home show for both pems and cardigans, I just hope this works out well.

that is fantastic! i went to pomana back in i believe 1998. hotter than you know what at 8:00a.m. i was handeling a nice bulldog bitch and they had a speciality the first day. we pulled reserve to i believe a 5 point major. also had a corgi bitch entered. nothing with her. get that boy finsihed and have fun doing it. thanks for the info. keep us posted.

The South Bay show was 1 point. We already have our majors, Pomona in June (4 points, WD & Best Opposite) and Portland in July at the Stumptown Cluster (WD). Fun to do this, especially with breeder judges, they really love the dogs as much as we do. We got Pennyshire Solid Alibi "Hank" in February 2010, at 6 months. Great help, advice and encouragement from breeders and owners here in Southern California.

congrats to hank. welcome to our little group. if that is hank in the picture, he's a handsome little fella. how old is he and how long have you all been showing? and where did hank come from? and when he went winner's dog, how many points were there? ther are a couple of us in the mid-west that love to hear about majors at shows because out here a major in pemmies is such a rare occansion. for shelly, finding shows with even one point is a rare occasin. but then she way up north in minnesota. again congrats to your win.
