Took Lucy for Herding Instinct Test and she passed with flying colors. Jasper still a little unsure as to what mom is asking him to do and had more questions to ask the sheep first. He sat down and watched mom do all the work. "Why should I have to muddy my paws if you are doing just fine mom." Shannon said to bring him to practices and let him see it more and often it will click. He was interested outside the ring, but I guess he wants to make sure that he does it right the first time.

got the corn planted today. it is beautiful here. we went from the 90's the last couple of days, down to the 60's today. tomorrow is going to be like in the 50's. put the dogs in the back yard and went and woke up the dirt in the tub over on the side yard. my brother came by and went and picked up some more dirt for me. got the baby corn shoots out of the starter cup. nice roots on them. have 8, let's see how many survive. i'm already thinging about next year. if i'm sucessful with these 3 things i'm growing, next year i might venture into other areas. i don't know yet. i'm going to  wait to see what happens this year. dogs got plenty of fresh air. haven't been able to leave them out in that heat. so, they had almost 2 hours out so far. brought them in and joker went and crashed some where down the hall and jack is crashed, but moves to where ever i am. actually, a nap sounds good. well, all take care.

last show for me was marshalltown. not sure what's next. i guess i could train joker to wag his tail.......................... oh wait, he would have to learn to wiggle his whole butt on command. don't thnk that is going to happen. well, it looks like all h_ _ _  is going to break loose outside in the sky, but with my luck, it will blow over so i'll have to go out in the killer heat and humidity to water the two plants. everyone take care

I was not any where this weekend. I am hobbling around on a bad knee. Have not been to a dog show since Dewitt IA.

Jasper wags his tail on command too.  But not always stops yet...we are working on that.

Kelly has trained Harvey to wag that big Cardigan tail on command... and stop too... they're just the best.
