I agree Wind dial, but originally she was to judge on friday, so having spoken to so many people who just wont show to her I thought well no sense in splitting up days , going for instance thursday, not fri and then going back for say and sun so entered 2 consecutive days., which for a youngster is probably enough untill he has more ring time.. but I could have gone 3 days in a row without splitting days had I known:(
I know few judges, this one just has a particularly bad rep and I was keen to watch her judge but not expose my boy to her if avoidable...

I know that sometimes people don't show to certain judges because of the judge for one reason or another and thats fine. If I'm already going to be there, me not exactly being a pro, use it as an oppurtunity to gain some ring time even if I know I'm not going to do any good. So look at it as a practice if you don't care for the judges usual picks. As long as they aren't rough on puppies it can be good to take a young pup in for experience too.

ok so I mistyped show schedule ring time tomorrow for us is 11;45 AND THIRD BREED IN THE RING..
Sun is 8AM ring call and first breed in ring.. so I backwards it:)
And as I just noticed in the prem list, they have switched judges for friday , keke khan is now judging herding breeds on thursday instead of friday, so as it turns out I could have entered fri sat and sun with out showing to her:( oh well..

I had hoped when we bought Spunk, my middle sone would be interested in showing, hes a bit of a recluse , but with college and working,, guess its moms boy...:)
neat to have kids into it!!

Thanks! Yes the Ms as she's know around the blogosphere, aka my Meredith(youngest of three) is a pretty darn good handler at age 12. Finished two dogs, done some rally, obedience and 4-H. Thinking about getting into tracking and herding. Whelps puppies with me. She helps show lots of different breeds-brussel griffons, pomeranians, collies, german short hairs, frenchies, hum, what else.

Dove is her dog. Her brother finished her when she couldn't go to one show but she put the majors on her and the placing at the national specialty--big 12-18 class and we were totally shocked!

Correct and you only need a birth certificate to get to Canada. But they won't let you back across unless you have your passport :) heehee, so best to have it.

Getting in is easy. Rabies is usually all they check, if that. Coming home, just proof of when you entered and where you were. US check point is a lot more intense so be prepared to have them do a search.

What is needed to get my dog(s) across the border into Canada?
A. Three things are required:
1. a valid Rabies vaccination certificate. To be valid ensure there is an expiration date some time in the future on the certificate.
2. registration papers or other proof of ownership.
3. confirmation of entry at a Canadian dog show.


well here is what dogs need, but no idea what papers needed for human, but am told need passport now...

CIndy, thunderbay is only 225 miles east and north of me. But I will have to renew my passport to get across border:( so wont be able to do july show.. may be fun next year
