i just love that hank boy. congrats on the very nice wins. i showed at the pomona show's back in like 1998 or 1999. showed a corgi out there and also a bulldog. the bully pulled a reserve to a big major and sadly, the corgi and i walked each day with nothing. i remember those show's being super hot. in fact the bulie's were scheduled at 8:00am and it was hotter that hades then. nice show grounds and most the people were very friendly, at the bully ring and lo and behold, they were all friendly after that first day. won't talk about the corgi people. but i did pull my bitch on the last day. and a congrats also to russ. nice looking boy and yes, alex loooks very happy. great going. everyone take care. also, i hope all will keep the newest victims of those tornado's out on the east coast and their families in their prayers. mother nature is just being a beast this year. and, i finally got those two little plants potted today and out by the patio. now i can haul water out when they need it. i think we are suppose to get some rain this weekend, but who can tell.

Best Opposite twice, and Select Dog one day at the Mission Circuit (4 shows) in Pomona, CA... all next to Molly (GCH Segni at Coventry). On his Select Dog day, Hank and the BoB, the BoW and the BoS all came from the same sire, Dash (CH Woodbine Flashy Alibi). Hank's 3 step siblings are all Coventry Corgis.

I dont know anyone near Buffalo NY but   depending on where you got your corgi... from a breeder, then the breeder will be your first avenue... the breeder will probably be able to tell you if she is a show quality pup.. You can go to the PWCCA website and look for a show breeder in their breeder reference  that may be near enough for you to contact.if your breeder is not close enough etc... I would also suggest looking up local dog clubs in your area...get involved in your local club if there is one close enough...there are far more experienced folks here than I  that may be able to help you, but your own breeder of the dog would probably be the best expert ... or an  experienced breeder  from the pwcca breeder referral list? Hope this helps:) Meantime look up akc  website and go to the events list to look up shows near you ..go to lots of shows and watch the pembrokes... you can sometimes find breeders to ask advice from at shows as well, as long as they are not waiting to go in the ring.... most will be willing to  talk about corgis with you:)

Hi my puppy's about five months old...who is near Buffalo NY and knows about corgis and how to show them? I think she's gorgeous, but that doesn't mean anything. How do I know she's worth showing and how do I get involved?

oh, ok...........i went back and now i remember. it's just that you have been winning so much lately that i can't remember all the pic's you have been posting. must be the heat. went out to buy a ,yes one, tomatoe plant and some dirt today. mom bought one of those topsy-turvy tomatoe planters. the guy at the store said he knows some people that have had luck with them and a few that didn't get anything. so, he i am, miss not-a-green-thumb, going to try and grow some tomatoes. now she has decided she want's the plant in a pot and to get a strawbeery plant to put in this topsy-turvy thingy. we are alos goiung to plant some corn because she likes yellow corn-on-the-cob and all we can find at the store, and yes, i checked last year at farmer's market, is that bi-colored corn. now mind you, this is a person that eats like one cob of corn a year. and, i don't care for corn. should be interesting. wish me luck!! well, everyone take care. happy memorial day to all!!
