vicky, I have gotten sick and didnt make the close date for the traverse city show:( I may just go anyway to watch if turns out nothing serious..
been to Doc , scared the wits out of me , had chest xray, took blood, ct scans w/ wo contrast and dont get results till tuesday:( Didnt make closing for Jordan show either, so next possible is Cambridge, and then Duluth depending on test results..should have quit smoking 30 years ago instead of Mothers day... For now wicked sinus/throat type infection bronchiospasms, so on antibiotics and inhaler , teselan pearls to control coughing fits. biggest worry swollen lymph gland above left clavicle, and what seems to be speen swollen.. They dont hurt,( everything hurts from coughing) but have had several acquaintances die or be diagnosed with assorted cancers recently so I am just a wreck..such a wreck Dr put me on atavan 2x day as he doesnt want me so stressed! And am sure some of my extra fear is based on this being the week of the anniversary of losing my youngest son:( I am not usually a sick-fear person, but I tell you.. I am convinced I have some dreaded disease....LOL probably simply a bad infection but the wait is excruciating..So still considering several shows but pending test results on tuesday. I was so preoccupied , I didnt even realize the fmkc shows were this weekend, thats only a 3 1/2 hour ride from me:(
upcoming shows I am still considering will be hard to get points based on last years entries.. so few corgis and only 1 or 2 dogs compared to 5-8 or 9 bitches.. oh well we will see...... may be more entries this year in Duluth and havent been to Cambridge but werent a lot of corgis there last year either..

Happy to report that up at the Fargo shows, our special got his first GRCH points wiht a 5 pt major! Connie Whan's Lydia took breed twice and both times got a pull in group. Now waiting for the tired travelers to get home.

wind dial. no idea, but good luck!! let us know how you do. have to see if sandy got her entries in for iowa city yet. should be a fun weekend. we know a couple of the other corgi people that are going to be there.

Overseas docking of the tails is illegal so to get a good idea of what a tailed pemmie looks like, try looking for an English, Finnish or European kennel. They pretty neat to look at that's for sure!

I was blessed to be owned by an awesome RHT pemmie as our first corgi. I lost her at 4 yrs young to liver disease. Our 2nd was a BHT and though some nice wins, we ended up placing her near us in a therapy dog home and she's spoiled rotten. At some point I do want another pemmie, but for now being entertained by a herd of cardigans is enough.

was just perusing the web for cardi info and got directed to that site and found a great article about the history fo cardigans. Reason being, I rescued what the shelter id's as a cardi female tri redhead, but with no paper work on her, we just don't know, however I have researched and researched the cardis ( as I have pems) and It is now my ""learned opinion" hahaa she is NOT a CArdi but a pem with a tail:) She just isnt built like the present cardigans, however after reading the article ( complete with photos of first cardis in the us) hmm still think she is a pembroke... we will never know and certainly never know why she was left behind when homeowners moved away:( Vet said she had never been bred, no surprise , she has never had tail docked, and still has dews too. SO now she lives the life of luxury and is spayed.

Breed counts for Rolla Kennel Club in Gray Summit posted, only 2 males entered and one is my 6 month old. Anyone have an idea who the other one will be?

the reds are pretty. my goal is to someday get the black-headed tri show male that i have wanted for years. i totally love my reds, but i really want a tri. have you tried just taking frankie to some matches and just totally having fun with him in the ring? change his bait? tried a squeeky toy to bring up a little more fun out of him? leet him hang around a bitch in heat before showing? hey, try everything possible. i always wished jack would have taken showing a tad more serious, but he loves doing it and even at 10 yrs, he gets all exicited when i take his "travel bag" out of the closet. he will be going with me when i go down to sandy's at the end of june. he loves going "for a ride" .he's going to be upset when sandy and i head off for iowa city shows and he has to stay behind. jack goes almost everywhere with me. i went out early the other morning to do some things and when i got home, i had to take him for a ride because he gave me one of those looks, like, "well, you went for a ride, i truely believe i should be allowed to go also. so, we went for a ride. he doesn't care where as long as he goes. have you shown frankie at all, or has just your son? some times they are a little better for "mom." if they have a veterns class at your shows, maybe i'll throw jack in. that's as much AKC as he's going to get. actually, when he was out showing, we didn't have luck finding the majors. and that's all he needs to finish. but, it's jokers turn now. he'll be 2 in august.
