Cherry Brook has a nice selection of show leads. Here is a link:

Personally I like to use the hex link (snake chain) slip collars. I have tried using just about every other lead (nylon slip leads, martingales), and this one seems the most comfortable for my dogs, my corgi especially because if the lead doesn't release fast enough he will toss a fit and start honking and hacking like he is dying lol. I also find that even in long haired dogs that it doesn't pull the hair or get tangled in it like some of the martingales do. There are plenty of choices out there for leads, best thing to do is experiment and see what you like and what looks good, both slip leads and martingales have positives and negatives. I was always told your lead and your show collar should be as thin as you can possibly get away with, should be tasteful, and shouldn't stand out too much. Another thing I have found with the gold chains, is that eventually they gold fades away and eventually turns your chain silver, so that may be something you want to think about, yes gold blends in nicely with a red dog, but unless you want to buy a new chain every few months, you may want to buy a silver one.

I am getting ready to start showing my Blue Cardigan boy Captain, C-Myste Baledwr Whomping Willow. I am new to showing although I grew up in a show family (Newfoundlands). I was wondering what type of lead/leash you use. Trying to get things ready for May. Thanks
