Just got a call from Mike Kress who had a Jazz daughter (Ch LS Neildiamond) showing in Indiana this weekend.    She won the puppy class both days, and had lots of nice comments on her.   He was quite excited to get her out and going.   He said she did very well for her first show weekend.

cool........ who's judging pemmies?? just kidding! maybe.... so you have experienced loose meat sandwiches??? francine is a very sweet lady, but when i lived out west, the best i ever did under her, with a corg, was a first place, and this was with a best of breed winner ( a few times) from the regular classes.  but--- the collie i was showing at the time, she gave a best of winners. well, i plan on enjoying myself no matter what. does anyone know who the other bitches are entered at marshalltown? sandy has 2 of them and i have the only male. on sat, there are 3 bitches total and sunday, it goes up to 4. if anyone knows, let me know. all take care.

See now that's why you need to plan on coming to our Labor Day shows in Amana!   You can have Amana food one day then go up to Cedar Rapids and have a maidrite there.

We have three Maidrites here-one in Marion which I drive past each day.  One on 1st Ave in Cedar Rapids, just a few blocks from where I work and then one on the SW side of town.

I won't show to Bev and I've had so so luck with Francine over the years.  And Alec was supposed to go to the Il shows that weekend instead but now that's been cancelled so it's a day off and road trip for us.

good luck in decorah. i know the judges are so-so in marshalltown, but we are very tuned into going to the Maidrite Restaurant for loose meat sandwiches. i have shown to francine schwartz a few times when i lived out west. and it's been a god-zillion years since i showed under bev capstick. the entry is tiny so i'm not really ex[ecting to see huge names in the ring---------------but, one never knows. joker hasn't been out in a year so it'll be a good way to get him back into the swing. was thinkong about doing UKC down in peoria- but both the boys have their grands so i guess we are going to be more AKC this year. take care

we use to have a border collie behind us and jack and "big dog" as i called him (never knew his name), use to run back and forth along the fence line. amazing how these no-legged can keep up with those with legs. jack has always had a weight problem. he see's no problem in eating everything and anything that get's in his way. they both chase the birds and squirrels. the birds know just how low to fly and the other day, one of the squirrels discovered that :JACK CAN'T GET HIM" you could almost see a change on that squirrel's face when he figured it out. now he just comes down the tree (next door) and munches on the bird seed the neighbor puts out. but, you can't depend on these critters to be around every day when the hounds are out. so, i have cut back any "extras" and boy do they know it.no place to put a duck, but that's a good idea. the down fall of city living.sounds like you have a busy wekend. i have to start getting ready to go down to sandy's for the marshalltown shows. we are the only boy pemmie there. short day at the show. wonder if schedule is up. going to check. everyone take care

it's getting late and we still got some more snow this morning. it was over by noon, if not before. anyway, it was jack's birthday, he turned 11. we didn't do anything special, except maybe the little bit of bacon that i slipped to him, and yes, joker also. he's still in great shape (ok, a tad over-weight), acts like a pup, does not have any grey hair (that stinks-i have enough for both of us) and ok- i gave them each a whole milk bone for their nite time cookie. i have been breaking them in half. yes, they are the large ones, but i couldn't pass on the price. so, i had bought a 10lb. box and then started them on a diet just this past monday. so, i hope everyone is well. any show news from the weekend?? so, good-night and take care.

so, anyway, put the red/white boys outside a short time ago and they came in all white!!!! yes- we are getting that stuff again. joker loved it. he ran around like he had been caged his whole life. tried to eat up all the snow. don't know how much we are going to get, but the forecast was 5-10 inches. made my day. this is suppose to go thru tomorrow morning. anyone else getting dumped on??? outside of that, nothing new. hope all is well and take care
