Cindy: Turkeys are great ( to eat) but... stupidest bird on earth!!! and where you live??? with rain and wond... keep them inside... people here who keep and raise turleys  have had them drown in the rain:(  not a wives tale as I once thought:( stupid birds.... hahahahahahahaha.

Well... happy to report... NO PREIP here!! ZIP!!! Not even in Duluth! CIndy's storms  sucked it all south and east LOLOL sunny and cool here!! PHEW.... boy yesterday  radar looked like a direct hit from fargo to here and  slam on Duluth... but nothing.. not a single flake:)

Nothing serious last night.  Tornados down by Oskaloosa though.  We had rain, wind and hail.  Fred decided with all the other chaos in the house, he could act concerned for the first time in his life.  Damn old dogs with only one thing on their minds-girls.

Now it's cold.  And wet.  And cold. 

 

Chicks come on Saturday. Getting some Emben and Toulse yearling geese too.  Now to find me some turkeys!   It really is Old McDonald's Farm!

it's 23 hours after the snow started and it's still coming down. we had one hell of a t-storm/lightening go trhu for about 1 1/2 hours last night. a couple of times the whole house  shook. love it when mother nature puts two different storms together. the snow is almost as tall as the dogs. i would say we have 8-10 inches so far. winds aren't to bad. poor little joker was teased by a bird this morning. he was in the poop position and this bird landed about 10 feet from him. you could tell he wanted to chase it, but he had other things to do. when he got done, he took 2 steps towards the bird and struck the "poise" then went to chase it. the bird flew up and sat on top of the accumulated snow on the fence and stared down at him. then it flew off. plows have gone thru. the snow at the end of the driveway is higher than the bumper on my truck. glad i'm not going anywhere. well, tou all take care.

no snow here yet 9:45 pm... paws crossed..kids got back from Duluth, I got to agility class and back with Missy... so all is well at the MO!!  stay yuned..still forecasting   SNOW!!  this afternoon radar had it aimed di=rect hit for Duluth.. maybe temps? or wonds... but nothing here ... no rain no snow ..NUTTIN!!YAYAYAYAYAAYAY

cindy- that sort of reminds me of the wizard of oz. very eerie!!!!!! it started snowing about 11:00am and it's still snowing. joker had a blast washing his face in the snow (he likes the stff). the little birds were out and both boys had fun playing with them. the little sparrows and wrens will fly low over the dogs but just low enough to get the hounds running. then they will sit in the lilac bush on the lower branches until the dogs get over by them. they all have fun and there is no way the dogs can catch the birds. well, off to have supper.  hope you all had a great day. take care
