We got a reserve on Sunday but thats the only notable thing.  She said he's been blowing coat and was about naked so he's going to come home for a bit after the Hot Springs show.

I am proud to announce a new AKC Champion (pending AKC conformation) out of
my first cardigan litter CH Laughing Dawg's Arrowroot (CH Kennebec
Windtalker x CH Tartanwyn's Princess Fiona) won his championship with three
majors one today in Chatanooga, TN (if all males were present it was a 4pt
major)  He won WB/BOW at the supported entry in Lexington, KY just a few
weeks back for a 5pt major.  He also has another 4pt major last year in TN.
I am so proud of this handsome Cardigan!  Congratulations to his owner Nancy
Cranch and the fantastic job she did with him!   Thank you to Bob Caldwell,
Connie Whan, Kerri Carter, and Laura Calkins for beautiful dogs and great
mentorship!

Congratulations!

Yay,,,Hot Springs made a major.  We're only entered for Saturday though because Linda advised against the judge on Sunday.  Apparently he REALLY liked the other dog she's handling in Topeka a few weeks ago and him and Wilson have opposite good/fault points.  The other dog is a fairly large strapping young dog, quite heavy, huge ears, just a whole lotta dog.  Wilson is much more moderate.

Three Rivers in Gray Summit is tomorrow and Sunday, can't wait to see how he does.  If all show up it will be 2 points each day.

The weather is wonderufl here, much better than that super hot stuff we were having.

i don't think fran is doing much, if any of the shepherd showing, julia her daughter seems to be doing that breed while fran is hanging wth the no leggers. as far as fees for handlers, try picking one up at ring side and see what you get charged. i know a lot of them do this for a living, but some of their rates are ridiculus for what they do. but, they are the ones that can bring out the best in our dogs. i found a very nice handler, shepherd gal, that joker will be going out with next year. he was suppose to go to gray summit but his neck hair isn't grown in quite enough to make me happy enough to put him in the ring at a major (hopefully) show. i tell people that joker not only came home from the elkhorn shows with back-to-back best of breeds, but he also brought home a whopper of a hot spot. the vet had no choice but to shave his neck down. mmmmmmmmmmmmmm...............maybe it could be a new corgi fashion- the naked neck. i am thinking of a wekkend towards the end of october, small shows and also the davenport UKC weekend. sandy will be stuck with me for a bit if we do both. i really like the davenport shows because everyone is so friendly and they seem to have their act together and the shows run smoothly. of course, we usually know who is going to win best in show, but it's a nice little show. if you want to get lost in "boxerland" that;s the pl;ace to go. those boxer people have some beautiful animals. well, keep us up on wilson's progress. take care.

Linda is about as par excellent as you can get for Corgis.  It was my good fortune that my mom started using Linda for her French Bulldogs before I ever thought about showing Corgis.  I didn't really know that much about the dog show world at that time when I got my first Corgi.  It was only later that I found out "the handler" was a super corgi lady.  Fran is great with the Corgis and all breeds but like many handlers have "their" breed, GSD's tend to be Frans with PWC's secondary but Linda is PWC's at the forefront with other breeds secondary.  She's naturally going to be a little more thorough with the breed as for grooming, judges, etc. Surprisingly, Linda is also quite reasonable with her rates compared to a lot of the other par excellent breed handlers. I'm not sure what guys like Frank Murphy and the like are getting but I'm sure they're charging more than she is.  Like Perry Payson and the Frenchies is way way more than she's getting.   She's also very honest about your dog.
