Palm Springs... 70 degrees, dry, no wind, surrounded by snow-capped peaks... put people, dogs and the judges in a great mood.
Later in the year, it's 105 degrees with 40 mph winds... then you have to tie the Corgis down... the Papillons all go flying like kites ;-)
KC of Palm Springs... a spectator-friendly dog show... whooda thought it was possible... they did a wonderful job.
At Kennel Club of Palm Springs, CA, this weekend, 3,300 dogs each day! On the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, the best grass surface ever... clean, short and very even, great for our Low Riders. Hank got Best Opposite on Saturday and a Select on Sunday. 6 points to go for GCH!
Local Corgi owners came with their dogs to watch on both days... a really fun event. Palm Springs and the KC made it very spectator-friendly (imagine that).
Congratulations on the win! Hank is a very striking dog, though I also might be a little partial to the tri's-heehee. Keep up the good work and how much more till he's a GRCH?
Crazy around here. Year end in accounting is a b***h. That coupled with my husband deconstructing my office at home, means I can't get any of my necessary work done. I've got show applications that I wanted to get to AKC by December 31st that are still somewhere in the study. Not past due by any means but I wanted to get a jump on things this year.
UGH! Add in I'm having show withdrawal and and and.... oh well, at least the tack swap meet is this weekend and I get to take da'baby boys out for their first offical meet and greet!
OH MOLLY MOLLY MOLLY :( ( HAHAHAHAH
GO HANK!!! YOU are so beautiful!!! You are my NO 1 !! xoxo
Great job!! Great win! Keep it going!! beautiful photo of a very handsome boy!!!!
GO HANK!!!!!!!!!!!! what a handsome boy and a fantastic win. he looks wonderful. what is really cool about this picture is that the judge looks extremely pleased with her choice. i have a bad habit of looking at the judges faces and trying to read them to see if they are really happy with their choice or not. when jack got his very first point-it was a pity point- the judges face showed his feelings in the picture. he had to choose between jack, who was very outgoing and very animated in the ring (he thought he was the little engine that could) or a quiet puppy that didn't want to walk and balked at every step and wasn't sure what he should be doing. the two were such oppisites in the ring with their behavior. but, back to hank, keep up the great show stuff. i hope he got a nice little reward after the show. take care
