I might add that the Dirty Dozen photo session went pretty well. The photographer's assistant was Ruffles and he demanded that he sit under the tripod and observe his siblings in action. He also was the first pup on the table and in true form, just like his daddy, he stacked, strutted and posed perfectly the very first attempt.

Shelley, haha, you have the Diva! Though the Ms said that she wants her chance to show him too.

On another happy happy note, I am proud to annouce that "my" Nicky, aka CH Nornor Porter's In The Nick Of Time is the proud sire of 6 lovely little brindle cardigans. Nicky was handled by Alec this spring for his real mom, Debbie Jackson and Sheryl Porter. I co-own him with those two awesome ladies and he lives with Deb full time when he's not out showing with us.

Anyway, Nicky was bred to a bitch Debbie owns that is from Barb Peterson in MN. 4 brindle boys, 2 brindle girls in under 4 hours. Mom and babies are doing great, Debbie is elated that it was a much easier whelp then her swisses and I can't wait for photos.

Nicky is a 1/2 sister to the Dirty Dozen's dam, Abbey, by their sire. His mom is AM/CAN Ch Tartanwyn's Anya, who is a granddaughter(maybe great) of Shilo Luca.

And to think I was through with puppies! Hey, at least they are at someone else's house!

LOL vicky, way too much@@@@@ Way too many words LOLOL ramblings!! LOL but essentially its too bad judges arent more consistent, or at least know the dogs LOL and hate the "jerks" but there are going to be those... wish more emphasis was on the dog and the standard and less on the fame of the handler., politics etc... . . etc.. and wish everybody got along like we all do:) here in the ring... guess I dont remember there being so many people and kliks in showing:(( or memory has gone soft so its kind a a shock to hear even people who have lots more experience at this than I have stories similar.. just my wish list I guess... that everybody shared good times and bad and helped each other... and judges judged more consistentlly .. I try hard to follow some judges choices ... alas I I just feel bad sometimes when I hear the kind of stories of weird judging and poor sports ...and some "kennel blind people who just think there arent any better as nice dogs as theres.. and if they dont win they just trash everybody else.. I see people do that and I dont even know them, just seems sad.... if anybody else wins they just mutter behind their backs etc...
so my wish list is for new people to find nice folks to associate with that will help them and cheer them on.. Like you said guess ya just have to ignore the jerks... and judges well... lol youd think they would know whether they have a dog or a bitch LOL isnt it odd that people have to travel to show to show to a particular judge?? shouldnt judges be knowledgable to enough to judge the dogs in a breed objectively and fairly?? and weigh the faults or whatever sorta the same way all around?? I cant figure out how they can all be so different if they are all going by the same standard?? goofy-
dogs will be different in different shows but ,oh heck .. maybe judges will make more sense to me one day!lOL like you and cindy said, I will surely often have better dogs in the ring than mine etc etc... and I dont have a problem with the better dog winning, but with sometimes the weird way they choose.. and ... well... anyhow !! is too bad for new or young people coming into showing to sort all this stuff out, and still have fun:) kinda scary to hear stories like you described and Cindy of some of the crap that happens but nice to know there are people to encourage and help people figure out how to deal with it:)
I hope at each show the judge evaluates the dog according to the standard and and if he picks my dog- nice:) If not then I still try to learn something?
Sorry for rambling lol if it came out wrong LOL I do that !! I should make an outline for thoughts LOLOL

Okie dokie folks. This is it. The last official photos of the Dirty Dozen. Junior aka Radar will be the first to leave mid week. Right now as it stands Percy, Einstein and Drew are still looking for pet homes while Charlie, Adolph, Walt and Luna will hang out for further evaluations. James is looking for either performance or show prospect home. As many have figured out, Ruffles is headed up to Shelly's and will be co-owned by Shelly, my daugther Meredith and myself.

We are going to hang on to Luna for awhile just to see how leggy she gets, might be sending her to a pet home eventually.

This has been hard, much harder then we every thought. Great points on them all but we can't keep and show them all. UGH!http://www.foggybottomusa.com/website1_115.htm
