Oh, Late Night Snack is a most excellent choice!

Don't worry, the container was empty! But Oliver likes the smell of Ben and Jerrys!

Geri, thanks for brining that up; I never would have thought of it being a danger.  We need to be a lot more careful at home and in the boat where you don't always have a closed garbage container.

They always do!  And I wasn't pointing the finger at you, no no no. We all should keep it in mind. I'm always bugging my husband and kids about it. Do they listen? No! Well, sometimes, but I have to keep bugging them!

Very true. I don't normally leave garbage or anything food related loss around the dogs, but I was in college still & in a hurry so I crumpled the bag up and forgot about it. Should have remembered the little cookie monster would find it, lol.

Poor Gus! I'm glad he was able to break out the bottom of the bag. While he looks extremely cute and somewhat embarrassed, this is a good reminder to make sure you never leave plastic bags or snack bags (like for chips or cookies) intact where the dogs can get to them. With their little stubby legs, they can't pull the bag off. I've heard of several tragic instances where a corgi has died from suffocation, his head stuck in a snack bag. Always open the bottom of the bag when you are done, or tear them down the middle.

Gus, no more bag-diving, buddy! Just use your corgi mind-control powers to make your mom give you a cookie. :)

This is a classic! Thanks for the laugh.

I came back to my vehicle from an apointment to find that Gus had gotten himself stuck in a paper bag trying to suck up the cookie crumbs that were left in a bag. He was so sure he was going to be in trouble (or maybe he was embarrassed) that he had been hiding under the passenger seat when I came out. I'm not even sure how he got the bag smoothed over his head and neck so well.
